. Set the scene. Ask the children what plans they have for the weekend. After the children have answered. Present the question. “What are you going to do on Sunday?” And then, tell them we are going to learn a story, let’s look “What are they going to do?”

.Listen and look the video. And answer some questions:

 What is Ken’s father doing?

  What do you think they are talking about?

  What do they see in the sky?

  What are they listening to?

  Who do you think the man is?

  What are they going to do?

  Do you thin Ann likes riding?

  Do you think Ken likes riding?

3. Production:

.Divide the class into two groups. Have them repeat the dialog.

.Encourage the children to act.

4. Practice:

. Explain to the children that they are going to do a mini survey. Tell the children that the weekend is coming. And ask if they have anything planned for this Saturday and Elicit answers from the children.

.Explain that the boy is asking the girl questions about the coming weekend. Point to the speech bubbles and read the sentences to the children. Have them repeat after you.

.Interview each other and finish the survey.

.Draw the children’s attention to the pictures on page56. Explain to the children that they will hear words that have the /oo/sound.

.Play the tape and have children say the words aloud.

Check that the children’s pronunciation is correct by asking individual child to repeat the words after you or after the tape.

3. Production:

.Show your copy of the page and point to the first row of pictures. Tell the children that three of the words have an /oo/ sound in them but on word doesn’t. Have the children find out.

.Play the first four words on the tape. Have the children point to each picture illustrating a word with an /oo/ sound as they hear the word.

.Play the tape again. This time have the children cross the word that doesn’t have the /oo/ sound.

.Repeat the procedure for the second row.

.Play the tape again, stopping after each line. Have the children repeat.
