The war was on and my son wanted to sacrifice (献身) himself for our country.He was going to join the army.Yes，of course he took that decision against our will.We had a big business and he was the only son to take it over.

He was in his uniform and was putting his baggage on the car he rented.His mother was crying heavily and I was standing still.Actually I was crying inside.He came to hug his mother.She took him in her arms.Then he came to hug me; I didn't react.I didn't know why I was so strict.I should have hugged him tightly but I didn't.

He gave me an envelope and told me to read it after his departure (离开)．He got into the car and left with his friend.I comforted my wife and came inside.I opened the envelope，inside which was a card，a Father's Day card.My throat chocked.I was about to burst into tears but I controlled myself.I opened the card，inside which was a message for me：

“Happy Father's Day，Dad.I know that you are against my decision but I have learnt all this from you only.Once in my childhood you told me that when the whole world is against me，follow my heart.I am just following my heart.I am just following what you have told me.”

I cried silently.I didn't want to show my tears to my wife.I always felt proud of my son but I didn't show that to him.
