    3. Teacher plays fur vides fr the students: eating steak, (teach the wrd steak by shwing the picture f it.) eating ndles, eating sandwiches and drinking sup. Let students speak ut mre crrect ways t eat different fd.


    4. Teacher lets students wrk in grups: Discuss the crrect way t eat the fd shwn in the table f 2.


    5. Teacher lets fur students frm different grups tell their answers.


    6. Teacher reads the crrect ways t eat them and lets students listen carefully and check their answers:

    2. Teacher asks students t read the letter, and then check their answers. Teach the new wrd jb: It has the same meaning as wrk, but it’s a cuntable nun.


    3. Teacher asks students t tell their judgments.


    4. Teacher asks students t listen t 1a and match the persns with their related infrmatin. Teach the new wrds wrth and effrt.

    3. Teacher asks the ther students t evaluate their wrk. Then the teacher makes a summary, writes dwn the frmatins f the cmparative and superlative degrees f adverbs with multiple syllables n the blackbard. And let students grasp them.

    5. Teacher asks students t read the letter carefully and find ut the difficult pints f 1a, (It’s imprtant t leave enugh time t them.) and lets ther students help t explain them. Teacher writes the main structure be wrth (ding) sth. n the blackbard.





    1. Teacher divides students int tw grups. Let students read the letter again, then ask students frm Grup 1 t ask questins accrding t the cntents f the letter, the students frm Grup 2 t answer the questins. Then let them change the rles.


    2. Teacher lets students read the example f 2. Teach the new wrd neatly by shwing neat+ ly.


    3. Teacher lets students make the similar cnversatins accrding t the fd and the ways t eat it.


    4. Teacher lets students act ut their wn cnversatins in pairs.


    5. Teacher asks ther students t evaluate the acting. Teacher may add mre different ways t eat the fd.


    6. Teacher lets students read the infrmatin f the table in 3. Then let them make a similar table t make a survey in grups.


    7. Teacher asks students t reprt the result f the survey t the whle class: Li Lin likes sausage because she thinks it is quick and delicius. Zhang Hng likes ndles because it is healthy… Encurage them t use the cmparative and superlative degrees f adjectives and adverbs.





    1. Teacher asks the students t play the guessing game: One student makes the gesture abut the way t eat fd, the ther guesses what he r she is eating.


    2. Teacher asks students t wrk in grups and find ut their grup members’ strng pints. Let them take ntes and cmpare the same strng pints f members in each grup, using the cmparative and superlative degrees f adverbs as much as pssible: Wang Hai runs fast, but Sun Lei runs faster than Wang Hai.


    3. Teacher chses a member in each grup t reprt the strng pints f members in each grup.


    4. Teacher asks students t evaluate the reprts. Chse the best tw grups.


    5. Teacher shws the summary f this sectin t the students.


    6. Teacher assigns hmewrk:


    (1) Review the summary after class.


    (2) Retell the prductin f fd festival t yur friends.


    (3) Search sme infrmatin abut the healthy eating habits.
