Astrnauts aren’t allwed t eat anything in the space statin that creates crumbs (碎屑). Fd crumbs can becme a disaster if they get int equipment (设备). That’s why astrnauts eat specially prepared meals. There’s n “up” r “dwn” in space, s astrnauts sleep in sleeping bags tied t the wall. Their arms will flat in frnt f them while they sleep.
Astrnauts have t keep their bdies strng. There’s less stress n bnes in space, fr gravity is weaker. Muscles (肌肉) aren’t used as much. Their bnes and muscles grw weaker. 16 winners frm 12 cuntries were awarded at the 18th Special Bk Awards f China held in Beijing in June 2025. Aleksei Rdinv, prfessr f Chinese studies at Saint Petersburg University, is a winner f the award in translating.
This award is the highest natinal award. Rdinv said that he feels a special cnnectin with China when he thught abut his jurney in Chinese literature.
“I was brn n the Russian-Chinese brder. Frm the mment I was brn, I had a cnnectin with China. As smene with a great interest in freign languages, I naturally chse t learn Chinese. That’s hw I started the jurney f studying the Chinese language and literature,” he nted.
T the prfessr, translatin is, in fact, a very enjyable task. “Translating Chinese literary (文学的) wrks is my lifelng calling. It brings me jy and gives my life a deeper sense f purpse,” he said.
Fr decades, Rdinv has lng devted himself t translating and researching Chinese literature, having translated 26 wrks by Chinese authrs such as La She.
“Literary wrks are an imprtant gateway t understanding Chinese culture and the Chinese peple. They are imprtant bridges that cnnect ur hearts and minds. In Russia, authrs like M Yan and Yu Hua are very ppular,” said the prfessr.
