He fell t the grund with a thud and said t himself, “Oh, well, I’ll just wait until they fly suth in a few mnths. Then I’ll rejin them and becme a wild duck again.”

When the flck f wild ducks flew verhead nce mre, Wally tried again t jin them. But he simply didn’t have the strength. Every winter and every spring, he saw his wild duck friends flying verhead, and they wuld call ut t him. But his attempts t leave were all in vain. Eventually Wally n lnger paid any attentin t the wild ducks flying verhead. He hardly even nticed them. He had, after all, becme a barnyard duck.
