      The underlined parts are sentences intrduced by “that”. These sentences act as the bject f the main verb and prvide additinal infrmatin r details.
      2 Wrk ut the rules
      Read the abve cnversatins again and cmplete the rules.
      • An bject clause acts as the ____________ f a sentence. • We use ____________ t intrduce an bject clause that is a statement.
      Other rules
      ①that没有任何意义,只具有语法功能,目的是使读者清楚后面的句子是做前面动词的宾语,多数情况下that可以省略。
      常接that引导的宾语从句的谓语动词是:believe,expect,prmise,think,tell,hpe,wish,remember,frget等。I hpe (that) everyne will have a happy family.我希望大家都有幸福的家庭。
      ②当宾语从句的主语是that时,that不能省略。
      一个that是引导词【引导宾语从句】;另一个that是代词【作主语】:He says that that is a useful bk.他说那是一本有用的书。
      ③当两个或多个宾语从句由并列连词连接时,除第一个从句中的that可以省略外,其余从句中的that都不可以省略。
      He said (that) the film was very interesting and that he enjyed seeing it very much.他说那部电影很有趣,他非常喜欢看。
      ④当主句的谓语动词为think,guess,suppse,believe等且主语为第一人称时,从句若表示否定,一般将否定词nt 转移到主句的谓语中,这就叫做“否定转移”。
      I think he will cme this evening.(改为否定句)I dn't think he will cme this evening.动词为非一般现在时或主语不是第一人称时,否定不转移。
      ⑤如果主句是一般现在时,从句可以根据实际情况使用各种时态【主现从不限】。
      He says he is reading a bk nw.(他说他现在正在读书。)从句用现在进行时She tells me she will g t Beijing next week.(她告诉我她下周将去北京。)从句用一般将来时
      ⑥若主句是一般过去时,从句一般要用相应的过去时态(一般过去时、过去进行时、过去将来时、过去完成时等)【主过从必过】。
      ⑦当从句表示客观真理或自然现象时,无论主句是什么时态,从句都用一般现在时【真理永一现】。
