      29-year-ld Dim Nang La is a mther f a six-year-ld by in a muntainus and remte regin in nrtheastern Cambdia. Like many ther parents in her village wh marry and have children at a yung age, she used t have little knwledge abut hw she shuld lk after her child t ensure he can grw healthy and strng and reach his full ptential.
      But everything changed when she received Nurturing Care Parenting training frm village vlunteers. Nurturing Care Parenting aims t help every child get the best pssible start in life, including thrugh healthcare, early educatin and play.       “I learned a lt frm Nurturing Care Parenting,” Dim Nang La says. “I learned hw t care fr my child’s health, nutritin and educatin. I learned hw t talk t him when he is wrng and cmfrt him when he is sad. I learned that a child is a white paper. If I hit him, he will learn thse actins frm me.”
      Dim Nang La is ne f many wh have benefited frm the training. Accrding t a lcal fficial named Ang Chenda, the training has reached five villages and has imprved the lives f many families.
