One day in the summer f 2015, Petersn was relaxing in his living rm, reading the bk Lve Des, abut the pwer f lve in actin, when his quiet was disturbed by a hmeless man utside his apartment. Inspired by the bk's cmpassinate message, Petersn made a decisin; he was ging t g utside and intrduce himself.
In that first cnversatin, Petersn learned that the man's name was Matt Faris. He'd mved t Suthern Califrnia frm Kentucky t pursue a career in music, but he sn fell n hard times and ended up living n the street fr mre than a decade. “I saw beauty n the face f a man wh hadn't shaved in prbably a year, because his stry, the life inside him, inspired me, ” Petersn recalled.
