      了解英国利物浦和美国纽约的文化、音乐、地理特色,感受中西方城市文化的差异;培养通过线上阅读了解外国文化的习惯。

      能根据时间状语判断正确的时态;能在对话和句子中正确运用一般过去时和现在完成时;能完成时态相关的填空练习。
      培养学生在语境中运用语法知识的意识;通过谈论线上旅行的经历,让学生感受语法在实际交流中的作用。

      教学重点:一般过去时和现在完成时的时间状语区分;两种时态的基本用法;正确填写两种时态的谓语动词形式。
      教学难点:理解一般过去时表 “过去动作结束” 与现在完成时表 “过去动作延续到现在 / 产生结果 / 多次发生” 的差异;在真实语境中灵活运用两种时态。

      能听懂线上旅行相关的听力材料,完成笔记和句子填空;能读懂数字敦煌、大堡礁等线上旅行的文章;能运用礼貌句型谈论线上旅行的优缺点。
      了解数字敦煌、大堡礁、尼亚加拉大瀑布等中外名胜的线上旅行资源;感受线上旅行的优势与不足,培养辩证看待事物的思维。
      二、教学重难点
      教学重点:掌握线上旅行的拓展词汇和常用表达;听懂并完成听力相关练习;运用礼貌句型谈论线上旅行的优缺点。

      能综合运用本单元知识完成线上旅行经历的写作;能对本单元的学习情况进行自我和同伴评价;能通过线上探索了解伦敦自然历史博物馆,分享发现。
      培养学生的自我评价和反思能力;鼓励学生利用互联网自主探索世界名胜,拓宽国际视野;培养学生的英语写作兴趣和能力。
      二、教学重难点
      教学重点:系统梳理本单元核心知识;运用写作框架完成线上旅行经历的英文写作;完成单元学习的自我和同伴评价。
      教学难点:综合运用本单元的词汇、语法和句型进行连贯、通顺的写作;将线上旅行的所见所感用准确的英文表达出来。

      Step 1 Warm-up (5 mins)
      Greet the students and ask a free talk questin: “D yu want t travel arund the wrld? But if yu can't g ut, hw d yu knw abut different places?”
      Invite 3-4 students t share their ideas, write the key wrds (e.g., bks, internet, vides) n the blackbard.
      Lead in the tpic: “Tday we will learn hw t knw abut the wrld withut leaving hme, and first let's learn sme famus attractins arund the wrld.”
      Step 2 Presentatin (15 mins)
      Shw the pictures f the six attractins (Wulingyuan, Machu Picchu, Sydney Opera Huse, the Eiffel Twer, the Pyramids f Giza, Yellwstne Natinal Park) ne by ne.
      Teach the English expressins, read the wrds slwly and ask students t fllw, pay attentin t the prnunciatin f difficult wrds (e.g., Machu Picchu, Pyramids f Giza).
      Let students read the wrds in grups, then d a quick check: pint t the picture and ask students t say the name quickly.
      Play the audi f the intrductins t the attractins, ask students t listen carefully and match the audi with the pictures.
      Check the answers with the whle class, and briefly intrduce each attractin in simple English.
      Step 3 Practice (15 mins)
      Shw the mdel cnversatin between Daniel and Millie n the screen, read the cnversatin with students (teacher reads ne part, students read the ther).
      Analyze the key sentences: “What? N way!” “It's mre cnvenient t...” “I'd like t have a try.”, explain the meaning and usage in simple English.
      Ask students t wrk in pairs, change the cntent f the mdel cnversatin (e.g., change the attractin, change the way t knw abut the wrld).
      Walk arund the classrm, ffer help t students wh have difficulties in the cnversatin.
      Invite 3-4 pairs t perfrm their cnversatins in frnt f the class, give psitive cmments and simple crrectins.
      Step 4 Cnslidatin (5 mins)
      D a “wrd and picture matching” game: shw the mixed pictures and wrds n the screen, ask students t stand up and answer quickly.
      Summarize the key pints f this class: the six famus attractins' English expressins and the cre cnversatin sentences.
      Step 5 Hmewrk (5 mins)
      Cpy the six attractin wrds three times, and read them alud fr 5 minutes.
      Make a new cnversatin with yur deskmate abut yur favrite attractin, and write it dwn n the exercise bk.
      Use the internet t find ne mre famus attractin in the wrld, and learn its English name.
      Step 1 Pre-reading (8 mins)
      Greet the students and review the last class: ask students t say the famus attractins they learned last class.
      Lead in the reading: “We knw many famus attractins, and tday we will learn tw famus cities—Liverpl in the UK and New Yrk in the USA. They are very ppular cities fr travel.”
      Ask tw pre-reading questins: “When talking abut nline travel, what cmes t mind first?” “Which d yu prefer, nline travel r n-site travel? Why?”, invite 2-3 students t share.
      Teach the cre new wrds and phrases f the reading (amazing, lively, birthplace, secnd t nne, nly cmes after, cunt dwn), read and let students fllw, explain the meaning with simple English and examples.
      Step 2 While-reading (22 mins)
      Fast reading
      1.Ask students t read the tw articles quickly (Liverpl and New Yrk), and finish the chart n Page 38 (fill in the blanks with the infrmatin frm the articles).
      2.Give students 5 minutes t finish, then check the answers with the whle class, ask students t find the riginal sentences in the article and read them alud.
      Careful reading
      1)Ask students t read the articles again carefully, and circle the crrect ptin fr each sentence n Page 38.
      2)Give students 6 minutes t finish, then check the answers ne by ne, ask students t explain the reasns accrding t the article.
      3)Analyze the key sentences in the article: e.g., “As the birthplace f the famus pp band, the Beatles, the city has always had a special place in British music histry.” “This has been a traditin since 1907.”, explain the sentence structure briefly.
      Step 3 Pst-reading (10 mins)
      Grup discussin: Divide students int 4 grups, ask the questin: “What are the main features f Liverpl and New Yrk?”, each grup needs t summarize 3 features fr each city.
      Give students 5 minutes t discuss, then each grup sends a representative t share the results, the teacher writes the key pints n the blackbard.
      Sentence making: Ask students t make sentences with the phrases “secnd t nne” “nly cmes after” “there is n dubt that”, invite 3-4 students t share their sentences, crrect mistakes if any.
      Step 4 Hmewrk (5 mins)
      Read the tw articles alud fr 5 minutes, and recite the key sentences marked in class.
      Cpy the cre wrds and phrases f the reading three times, and make ne sentence fr each.
      Write 3 sentences t intrduce yur favrite city (Liverpl r New Yrk) accrding t the article.
      Step 1 Revisin (5 mins)
      Greet the students and review the reading part: ask students t intrduce Liverpl r New Yrk with ne sentence.
      Lead in grammar: “When we talk abut ur nline travel experiences, we ften use tw tenses—simple past tense and present perfect tense. Tday we will learn the differences between them and hw t use them crrectly.”
      Shw tw sentences n the screen: “I visited the Pyramids f Giza yesterday.” “I have visited the Pyramids f Giza nline many times.”, ask students t find the differences.
      Step 2 Presentatin (20 mins)
      Simple past tense
      1)Explain the usage: used fr an actin in the past and the time f the actin is ver; describe what happened in the past.
      2)List the time expressins: yesterday, the ther day, last..., ag, write them n the blackbard.
      3)Give mre examples: “My family mved t Liverpl tw years ag.” “Dad went t China last mnth.”, ask students t read.
      Present perfect tense
      1)Explain the three usages: ① an actin that started in the past and cntinues t the present; ② the result f an actin; ③ hw many times an actin has happened till nw.
      2)List the time expressins: already, ever, just, recently, (nt) yet, s far, up t nw, write them n the blackbard (different clr frm simple past tense).
      3)Give examples fr each usage, ask students t read and understand.
      Cmparisn
      1)Make a cmparisn table n the blackbard (Tense, Usage, Time Expressins, Examples), fill in the cntent with students tgether.
      2)Emphasize the key difference: simple past tense is nly abut the past, n cnnectin with the present; present perfect tense cnnects the past and the present.
      Step 3 Practice (15 mins)
      Exercise 1: Cmplete the cnversatin between Simn and Millie n Page 41 (fill in the blanks with the crrect frms f the wrds in brackets), give students 5 minutes t finish, check the answers with the whle class, ask students t explain the reasns (tense and time expressins).
      Exercise 2: Cmplete the sentences n Page 42 (nline turs), give students 6 minutes t finish, check the answers ne by ne, crrect the cmmn mistakes (e.g., frget t use past participle in present perfect tense).
      Pair wrk: Ask students t wrk in pairs, talk abut their nline travel experiences with the tw tenses, e.g., “I visited the Digital Dunhuang website last weekend. I have seen ten caves n it s far.”, walk arund and ffer help.
      Step 4 Hmewrk (5 mins)
      Cpy the cmparisn table f simple past tense and present perfect tense, and recite the time expressins.
      Finish the verb filling exercise n Page 42 (Mark's father's trip), write the answers n the exercise bk.
      Write 4 sentences abut yur weekend, use 2 simple past tense and 2 present perfect tense sentences.
      Step 1 Listening & Reading (20 mins)
      1.Reading abut Digital Dunhuang
      1)Shw the picture f Mga Caves, lead in: “We knw many freign attractins, and tday we will learn a famus Chinese attractin—Mga Caves in Dunhuang. There is a Digital Dunhuang prject fr nline travel.”
      2)Ask students t read the article “Digital Dunhuang: a windw int the past” n Page 43, and answer the tw questins belw the article.
      3)Check the answers with the whle class, teach the new wrds (digital, treasure, sculpture, Silk Rad), explain the meaning with pictures and simple English.
      2.Listening practice
      1)Play the audi fr B1 (The Great Barrier Reef nline) n Page 43, ask students t listen carefully and cmplete the ntes, play the audi twice if necessary.
      2)Check the answers, teach the new wrds (cral, sea animals).
      3)Play the audi fr B2 (Niagara Falls and the CN Twer) n Page 43, ask students t cmplete the sentences, play the audi twice, then check the answers.
      4)Ask students t read the cmpleted ntes and sentences alud tgether.
      3.Cmplete the article
      1)Ask students t cmplete the article “Travelling frm hme” n Page 44 with the infrmatin frm B1 and B2, give students 5 minutes t finish, check the answers with the whle class.
      Step 2 Speaking (15 mins)
      Present the plite disagreement sentences
      1)Shw the mdel cnversatin between Amy and David n Page 45 (advantages and disadvantages f nline travel) n the screen, read the cnversatin with students.
      2)Mark the plite disagreement sentences: “That's true, but...”, “Yu're right, but...”, “I see yur pint, althugh...”, explain the usage and ask students t read.
      Grup discussin
      1)Divide students int 5 grups, the discussin tpic: “What are the advantages and disadvantages f nline travel?”, each grup needs t list at least 3 advantages and 3 disadvantages.
      2)Give students 8 minutes t discuss, ask students t use the plite disagreement sentences when they have different ideas.
      Class sharing
      Each grup sends a representative t share the discussin results, the teacher writes the key pints (advantages/disadvantages) n the blackbard, give psitive cmments.
      Step 3 Writing preparatin (5 mins)
      Shw the writing plan table n Page 45 (Simn's nline tur f the Luvre Museum), explain the fur parts: Which place I visited, Why I visited it, What I saw, Hw I felt.
      Ask students t think abut their wn nline travel experience, and fill in the table in their mind, invite 2-3 students t share their ideas.
      Step 4 Hmewrk (5 mins)
      Read the articles n Page 43-44 alud fr 5 minutes, and recite the plite disagreement sentences.
      Cpy the new wrds f this class three times, and make ne sentence fr each.
      Finish filling in the writing plan table n Page 45, write dwn yur ideas n the exercise bk.
      Step 1 Revisin & Assessment (10 mins)
      Knwledge revisin
      1)D a “quick quiz” with students: ① Ask students t say the cre vcabulary f the unit (attractins, cities, nline travel); ② Ask students t retell the differences between simple past tense and present perfect tense; ③ Ask students t say the plite disagreement sentences.
      2)Invite students t answer vluntarily, the teacher supplements and summarizes the key pints n the blackbard.
      Unit assessment
      1)Hand ut the assessment table n Page 47 t students, ask students t fill in the “Me” clumn first (self-assessment: Weak/Gd/Wnderful) accrding t their wn learning situatin.
      2)Then ask students t exchange the table with their deskmate, d peer assessment (fill in the “Partner” clumn), and give simple cmments.
      3)Ask 2-3 students t share their self-assessment results, and talk abut what they are gd at and what they need t imprve.

      2)Analyze the writing structure: ① Beginning (the reasn fr nline travel); ② Bdy (the intrductin f the place, what I saw); ③ End (feelings abut nline travel).
      3)Highlight the useful expressins n Page 45 (e.g., The ther day, I visited...; This nline tur is really...; It was a wnderful experience t...), ask students t read and remember.
      Writing task
      1)Assign the writing task: Write an article abut yur wn nline travel experience, at least 5 sentences, use the writing plan and useful expressins, and try t use simple past tense and present perfect tense.
      2)Give students 18 minutes t write, walk arund the classrm, ffer help t students wh have difficulties in writing (e.g., vcabulary, sentence structure).
      Peer crrectin & sharing
      1)Ask students t exchange their articles with their deskmate, d simple crrectin (check the spelling, tense, grammar mistakes), and give a scre (1-5 stars).
      2)Invite 3-4 students t read their articles in frnt f the class, give psitive cmments and simple crrectins (e.g., better wrds, better sentences).
      Step 3 Further study (5 mins)
      Lead in the further study tpic: “Tday we will learn anther famus museum in the UK—the Natural Histry Museum in Lndn. It has many amazing dinsaur skeletns, and we can visit it nline.”
      Intrduce the museum in simple English, shw sme pictures f the museum (dinsaur skeletns, science exhibits).
      Assign the further study task: Use the internet t visit the Natural Histry Museum in Lndn nline, find ut mre infrmatin, and share the findings with classmates in the next class.
      Step 4 Summary & Hmewrk (5 mins)
      Summary: The teacher summarizes the key pints f the whle unit (vcabulary, grammar, speaking, writing), and encurages students t use the internet t explre the wrld mre.

      1)Revise yur nline travel article accrding t the peer crrectin, and write the final versin n the exercise bk.
      2)Finish the exercises n Page 128 (unit vcabulary and grammar), check the answers by yurself.
