Many Westerners have the idea that everyne in China knws hw t d kung fu. This is, f curse, a silly belief. But it is true that kung fu is a big part f Chinese culture.
Like mst peple frm the West, I was first intrduced t kung fu thrugh Hng Kng actin films. Stars like Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan made kung fu ppular in the Western wrld. The flashy and impressive perfrmances they gave in films like Rumble in the Brnx and Enter the Dragn made them husehld names in the U.S. and elsewhere.
Hwever, my wn persnal interest in kung fu was actually inspired by a hip hp grup. Wu-Tang Clan, funded in the early 1990s in New Yrk City, is ne f the mst influential hip hp grups in histry.
In their sngs, they smetimes mentin philsphical cncepts that cme frm Wudang quan—a classic Chinese martial art frm which they take their name—and Shalin Temple. I was just a teenager when I first started listening t Wu-Tang Clan—little did I knw that I wuld actually end up living in China later in my life!
I myself d nt practice kung fu. Hwever, the cncepts behind it are quite interesting t me. There is a Bruce Lee qute that I ften think f when I'm struggling with challenges in life. “Be frmless, shapeless, like water,” he nce said. By this, he meant that yu shuld be ready t adapt t and change yur attitudes r beliefs when yu face difficulties. I think this is a gd way t deal with life.

      D. They shwed the authr the way t live in China.

China is develping a system that recgnizes individuals by their bdy shape and walking mvements. Systems that recgnize human faces are already being used t identify peple in crwds r as a secure way t unlck persnal devices.

Facial recgnitin systems identify the shapes and expressins n a persn’s face t identify them. Gait recgnitin uses a persn’s bdy shape and their way f walking t identify them. The system recrds a persn’s shape and mvements and then creates a mdel f the way they walk.

      B. A persn’s bdy shape can be recgnized very easily.
      C. Cameras recrd vide f a persn in public places.
      D. A persn’s actin will be sent t the plice.
