      II. Teaching Key Pints and Difficult Pints
      Key Pints
      Understand and apply the rules f using cmparative and superlative frms fr quantity.
      Crrectly use “as... as” and “nt as/s... as” t make equal and unequal cmparisns.
      Difficult Pints
      Distinguish the usage f cmparative and superlative frms with cuntable and uncuntable nuns.
      Flexibly use the learned grammar structures in different cntexts.
      III. Teaching Prcedures
      1. Lead - in (5 minutes)
      Activity: Shw pictures f three different classrms with different numbers f students, break times, and summer hliday weeks. Ask students t make simple cmparisns rally, e.g., “Class A has mre students than Class B.”
      Purpse: Aruse students’ interest and activate their prir knwledge f cmparisn.
      2. Presentatin (12 minutes)
      Cmparative and Superlative fr Quantity
      Present the table abut Nancy, Tmya, and Linlin’s schls. Analyze the sentences like “Linlin’s schl has fewer students in each class than Tmya’s schl. Nancy’s schl has the fewest students.”
      Guide students t wrk ut the rules: use “fewer/fewest” with cuntable nuns, “less/least” with uncuntable nuns, and “mre/mst” with bth. Fill in the “Wrk ut the rule” part tgether.
      “as... as” and “nt as/s... as”
      Shw sentences frm Kitty’s ntes, e.g., “The arts are as imprtant as languages, Maths and Science in Nancy’s schl.” and “Nancy’s schl is nt as big as Tmya’s.”
      Let students summarize the rules: “as... as” fr equal cmparisns and “nt as/s... as” fr unequal cmparisns. Cmplete the “Wrk ut the rule” sectin.
      Purpse: Clearly present grammar rules thrugh examples and guided discvery.
      3. Practice (18 minutes)
      Practice A (Cmparative and Superlative fr Quantity)
      Students cmplete Kitty’s text in part A1 individually. Then check answers as a class, emphasizing the chice f crrect frms (e.g., cuntable r uncuntable nuns).
      Ask students t use their wn infrmatin t cmplete the last clumn f A1 and write shrt cmparisn texts. Share sme in class.
      Practice B ( “as... as” and “nt as/s... as”)
      Students finish part B1, using “as... as” r “nt as/s... as” t cmplete Kitty’s text abut her schl and Laura’s schl.
      Have students cmpare their middle schl and primary schl using the grammar, and share their writings.
      Purpse: Reinfrce grammar rules thrugh structured practice and applicatin.
      4. Cnslidatin (10 minutes)
      Grup Wrk: Divide students int grups f 3 - 4. Each grup is given a set f schl - related infrmatin cards (e.g., number f subjects, clubs, free time). Grup members use the learned grammar t make cmparisns within the grup.
      Purpse: Prmte cllabrative learning and flexible use f grammar in real - like situatins.
      5. Summary (3 minutes)
      Activity: Review the key grammar pints with students: rules f cmparative and superlative fr quantity, and usage f “as... as” and “nt as/s... as”.
      Purpse: Strengthen students’ memry f grammar rules.
      6. Hmewrk (2 minutes)
      Assignment:
      Cmplete the extra practice exercises abut the grammar (prepared in advance, including using cmparative/superlative and “as... as” structures t cmpare schl facilities).
      Write a shrt passage (at least 80 wrds) cmparing yur dream schl with yur current schl using the learned grammar.
      Purpse: Extend learning beynd the class and imprve writing skills.

The practice activities help them apply the grammar, but sme students may still have difficulties in cmplex cntexts. Need t prvide mre targeted practice in future lessns.
