Ten years ag, Price Hill resident Patti Hgan nticed a prblem in her neighbrhd. Instead f letting the prblem g n, she tk actin. Hgan is nw a bard member fr the prgram she launched a decade ag, the Price Hill Safety Cmmunity Actin Team (CAT). The cmmunity prgram wrks t beautify Price Hill while als keeping kids ut f truble.
Hgan has lived in Price Hill all her life and started the Safety CAT t address a significant prblem she was seeing in the cmmunity. “We had a terrible prblem with yung kids just standing arund n the street and wrestling with each ther,” Hgan said. Alng with fights, Hgan says streets were filled with abandned hmes and vergrwn grass. Nt wanting t mve away, she thught abut what she culd d — attack the prblem head-n.
Each Saturday during the summer, the sunds f lawnmwers (割草机) fill the neighbrhd. Thse wh are making this “music” are the neighbrhd kids wh are part f the Safety CAT. They cme tgether t cut and clean up the lawns f abandned hmes.
Hgan helps teach the kids hw t wrk a landscape, and hw t earn a dllar — they bring hme arund $45 each week. Nnuri, a digital character created by German designer Jerg Zuber, is the latest virtual influencer t land a recrd deal (唱片合约). Marec Lerche frm Warner Music Central Eurpe says Nnuri and digital artists like her can ffer cmpanies mre experimentatin and flexibility. “She can appear in different places at the same time, and yu can change her style in a minute,” he says. “She has mre pprtunities than a human artist in that respect.”
