As new trends appear in the wrld f tys, there’s been an effrt t make them mre inclusive (包容的). “Kids ften develp fixed ideas abut what tys are suitable fr their gender,” says Dr. Laura Thmpsn, a child psychlgist. Making tys withut a specific gender label (标签) appears t be an easy slutin t this prblem. Hwever, as Dr. Thmpsn has discvered in her research, gender plays a significant rle in hw kids interact with tys, especially thse with certain characteristics.
In her study, Dr. Thmpsn asked children t rate their interest in male-fcused, female-fcused, and gender-neutral (中立的) versins f a dll-like figure named “Buddy” and a cnstructin-themed ty set. It was fund that gender influenced kids’ levels f engagement with these tys and their desire t play with them. Fr example, children expressed less interest in the genderless dll than the male r female versins.
While cnnecting tys with a particular gender might prmte sales in sme cases, it can als strengthen ld-fashined and harmful ideas abut rles and abilities. Steretypes (刻板印象) linked t bys, such as being mre active and gd at building, are ften cnsidered mre psitive than thse related t girls. These qualities are then passed t the tys that are labeled as male r female.
Dr. Thmpsn’s study als shwed that creating a truly gender-neutral ty was n easy task. Even if a ty’s appearance r name was designed t be gender-neutral, like Buddy, children wuld still give it a gender. They wuld think Buddy was either a “he” r a “she”.
Despite these challenges, Dr. Thmpsn sees a bright side: She believes that the way kids interact with tys “ffers a chance t reshape steretypes.” When girls are given tys that are typically cnsidered fr bys, like cnstructin sets, it helps break dwn negative steretypes abut girls. Similarly, tys culd be designed t have rles that g against the usual steretypes — a male dll that likes t play with makeup r a female actin figure that is great at sprts, fr instance.
32. What is the main aim f making tys mre inclusive?
A. T prmte ty sales.B. T satisfy parents’ needs.
C. T increase prductin efficiency.D. T avid gender-related fixed ideas.
33. What were the children prbably asked t d in the study?
A. Grup tys based n gender.B. Grade their preferred tys.
C. Play with genderless tys.D. Identify particular tys.
34. Why is it hard t make cmpletely gender-neutral tys?
A. Gender-labeled tys are mre attractive.B. Ty prducers are shrt f creativity.
C. Gender-neutral tys lack ppularity.D. Children are used t gender-based gruping.
35. What des the last paragraph mainly discuss?
A. The effect f gender-neutral tys.
B. The challenges f prmting inclusive tys.
C. The imprtance f breaking traditinal gender steretypes.
D. The rle f tys in challenging kids’ traditinal views n gender.
D 33. B 34. D 35. D

根据第二段中的“In her study, Dr. Thmpsn asked children t rate their interest in male-fcused, female-fcused, and gender-neutral (中立的) versins f a dll-like figure named ‘Buddy’ and a cnstructin-themed ty set.(在她的研究中,汤普森博士让孩子们对以男性为中心、以女性为中心以及性别中立版本的一个名为“巴迪”的玩偶形象和一个建筑主题玩具套装的兴趣进行评分。)”
Thmpsn’s study als shwed that creating a truly gender-neutral ty was n easy task. Even if a ty’s appearance r name was designed t be gender-neutral, like Buddy, children wuld still give it a gender. They wuld think Buddy was either a “he” r a “she”.(汤普森博士的研究还表明,创造一个真正的性别中立玩具并非易事。
根据最后一段“Despite these challenges, Dr. Thmpsn sees a bright side: She believes that the way kids interact with tys “ffers a chance t reshape steretypes.” When girls are given tys that are typically cnsidered fr bys, like cnstructin sets, it helps break dwn negative steretypes abut girls.(尽管存在这些挑战,汤普森博士看到了积极的一面:她认为孩子们与玩具互动的方式“提供了一个重塑刻板印象的机会”。

故填where。
故填a。
根据句意,“shared tea-making techniques(分享了泡茶技巧)”、“tried tea-making tls(试用了泡茶工具)”和 “exchanged their wn ideas and ways f making tea(交流了他们自己的泡茶理念和方法)”之间是并列关系,所以用连词and 连接。故填and。
此处为代词作宾语,结合句意,此处指代的是上文中的“the jurney f tea frm China t Britain”,所以使用代词it。故填it。
