Earlier studies have warned that glbal warming pushes trees higher up muntains, squeezing the habitat f high-altitude plants.

The study fund that the average altitude f the tree line in the distant past n the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau varied frm rughly 3,426 meters t 4,187 meters.
