The English spken in Australia, Britain and America has a surprising number f differences. Here are sme f the cmmn differences that yu will find amng these three kinds f English.
Prnunciatin amng the three types f English can be different. In American English, the "r" at the end f a wrd almst always affects its prnunciatin, while in Australian and British English, the "r" is ften silent. Australian English is unique due t the fact that many wrds have sunds that are gne. Instead f saying"gd day",Australian speakers say "g’ day". Living and dealing with kids can be a tugh jb these days, but living and dealing with parents can be even tugher.
If I have learned anything in my 16 years, it is that cmmunicatin is very imprtant. With any relatinship, yu need t let the ther persns knw hw yu feel. If yu are nt able t cmmunicate, yu and thers may drift apart(逐渐疏远). When yu are mad at yur parents, r anyne else, nt talking t them desn’t slve anything.
Cmmunicatin begins with the cncern fr anther. It means that yu can’t just cme hme frm schl, g t yur rm and ignre everyne. Even if yu just say "Hi" and see hw their day is fr five minutes, it is better than ding nthing.
If yu lk up the wrd "cmmunicatin" in a dictinary, it will say "the activity r prcess f expressing ideas and feelings r f giving peple infrmatin". T keep a gd relatinship, yu must keep cmmunicatin strng. Let peple knw hw yu feel, even if it’s just by writing a nte.
When dealing with parents, yu always have t make them feel gd abut hw they are ding as a parent. If yu are trying t make them see smething as yu see it, tell them that yu’ll listen t what they want t say, and ask them plitely t listen t yu. Yelling r walking away nly makes the situatin wrse.
This is an example: ne night, Sphie went t a street party with her friends. She knew she had t be hme by midnight after the firewrks, but she didn’t feel she culd just ask t g hme. That wuld be rude. After all, they had been nice enugh t take her alng with them. Needless t say, she was late getting hme. Her parents were mad at first, but when Sphie explained why she was late, they weren’t as mad and let the incident g. Cmmunicatin was the key factr here. If Sphie’s parents had nt been willing t listen, Sphie wuld have been in a lt f truble.
Cmmunicatin isn’t a ne-way deal: it ges bth ways. Just remember: if yu get int a situatin like Sphie’s, tell the ther persns hw yu feel — listening is the key factr in cmmunicatin.
32.In the writer’s view, dealing with parents is than with children.
      A. mre difficult
      B. easier
      C. mre bring
      D. mre interesting
33.What’s the main idea f the secnd paragraph?
      A. The imprtance f friendship.
      B. The way t make yur feelings knwn t thers.
      C. The imprtance f cmmunicatin.
      D. The disagreement between generatins.
34.What des the example in this passage prve?
      A. Sphie is very plite t her parents.
      B. Sphie’s parents are nt willing t listen t her.
      C. Explanatin is the best way t slve a prblem.
      D. Cmmunicatin is the best way t avid misunderstanding.
35.Accrding t the passage, which f the fllwing des the authr disagree with?

      B. It is better t say "Hi" t thers than t say nthing.
      C. If yu are nt able t cmmunicate, walk away.

I handed the card frm my schl’s help-wanted bard t the man behind the cunter f Mrt’s Deli(熟食店). Even befre I pened my muth, he was shaking his head.
It was September 1957, and my family had just arrived in Califrnia. My father nly gt wrk tw r three days a week. Our pr savings were gne, and as the eldest by f the family, I was the nly ne able t help.

故选A。
Several restaurants ffer classes, which start with a visit t a market t buy fresh ingredients 故选A。
There are plenty f things t d and see that children will enjy"以及下文中几个活动的介绍可知,文章可能和旅游有关,故文章可能出现在杂志的旅游部分。
故选A。
故选A。
Hwever, because TikTk desn’t... sme children under 13 have registered by lying abut their age"可推知,英国通信管理局对于TikTk不能严格核查用户身份感到担忧。
If I have learned anything in my 16 years, it is that cmmunicatin is very imprtant" 可知,作者认为沟通是非常重要的。
Carl Bishp says, ‘Yu need t recgnize if they are enjying it’"可知,家长可以和孩子开玩笑,但是也要认识到孩子是否乐在其中。
Yu need t examine if there is a learning disability r maybe they are in lw spirits r being bullied(欺侮)"可知,当孩子考试成绩不理想时,家长需要找出问题的原因。

Lnely? Yu’re hardly alne. That’s the finding f a new study. And that appears thrughut industrial natins acrss the glbe. The study linked rising lneliness t a greater use f smartphnes and the Internet ver the same years.
Jean Twenge, a psychlgist, tk part in the study. Her team has fund that since 2012, US teens have been spending less face-t-face time tgether.
"Smartphnes can help keep us cnnected with friends," says Twenge. "But they can als make peple feel excluded(把…… Girls, especially, may feel this way. One reasn may be that they like t pst mre phts and selfies(自拍照) than bys. Studies have shwn that if thse phts dn’t get a lt f "likes", it can affect a teen’s mental health.

Students culd strngly disagree, disagree, agree r strngly agree with each statement.
If technlgy causes lneliness, shuld we stp using it? "N, nt at all," argues Twenge. "Everybdy f all ages is trying t figure ut hw we can best use these technlgies and stay mentally healthy." Her advice is t "use yur smartphne fr what it’s gd fr. Then put it away". That includes putting it away vernight — ideally in anther rm.

      C. T intrduce an embarrassing situatin.

The tw brwn girls dream f being in pverty"可知,这本书展现了两个热爱舞蹈的女孩不同的人生轨迹,故选C。
由题干中的Khaled Hsseini定位至文中的The Kite Runner,由"by Khaled Hsseini"可知,Khaled Hsseini是The Kite Runner的作者。
He became interested in China’s histry and culture due t the Disney mvie Mulan when he was a child"可知,Adlf参加苗族鼓藏节还有一个原因是他从孩提时代就对中国的历史和文化感兴趣,故选D。
During a trip t China’s rural areas, Adlf was impressed by China’s ethnic cultures and decided t sht dcumentaries f China’s 56 ethnic grups"可知,因为一次印象深刻的中国农村之行,Adlf决定拍摄关于中国56个民族的纪录片,故选C。
I’m find ut that many f them hardly ever listen t the radi"可知,很多学生几乎不听收音机这件事令作者感到惊讶,故选C项。
Listening t my new radi in German is gd fr my language learning"可推知,作者并不是德国本土人,因此选A项。
One reasn may be that they like t pst mre phts and selfies (自拍照) than bys"可知,女孩子更喜欢用手机上传照片。
故选A。
If technlgy causes lneliness, shuld we stp using it?
The study linked rising lneliness t a greater use f smartphnes and the Internet ver the same years"可知,这篇文章主要讲述了智能手机是孤独感的原因之一。
Once in a while it’s helpful t see if yur friendship is as healthy as it can be"以及下文中的"Here are characteristics(特征) that strng friendships share"可知,B项符合语境,起承上启下的作用,且B项中的"as healthy as it can be"与上文中的"as healthy as it can be"相照应。
由下文中的"yu dn’t need t act like smene yu’re nt"及"A healthy friendship includes plenty f gentle hnesty"可知,空处应是说好朋友之间应真诚相待,故选D项。
They argue in a healthy way"及空处所在段内容可知,A项符合语境。
40.F 由"Healthy friendships mean yu can be friends with smene else, t"及空处所在段内容可知,空处应指你最好的朋友不会影响你的社交圈的扩大,故选F项。
have n chance t d sth."
Many peple care t much abut thers’ pinins"可知,很多人过于在意别人的意见,因此努力去取悦别人。
rather than"而不是"。
      57.that/which 考查定语从句。
by ding...
      60.will be 考查时态。
根据句子结构可知, 此处It作形式主语, 不定式短语"t have many s-called ‘friends’"是真正的主语。

"Yur mind is a garden; yur thughts are the seeds. The harvest can either be flwers r weeds," wrte William Wrdswrth, wh suggested that the prcess f gardening mirrrs human life. Depending n what we "plant" in ur lives, we blm(茁壮成长) r dn’t.
Befre yu start t wrk in yur garden, it is necessary t have an idea fr it. Thinking f what yu want t grw in yur garden and hw t arrange it is a gd first step in making yur idea a fruitful reality. In life, yu shuld cnsider what yu want t create and what yu want t achieve, because yur mind garden is like a piece f white paper and the pssibilities are endless.
N matter what plants yu chse, pr sil isn’t suitable fr grwth. This is why gardeners take the time and energy t imprve the sil befre planting. Getting an educatin is ne f the mst effective ways, which can help yu enrich yur life’s sil.
Yu dn’t have t be an expert gardener t understand the meaning f "Yu harvest what yu sw(种瓜得瓜,种豆得豆)". When a gardener wants tmates, they just need t plant tmat seeds. It is a very clear act that prduces an expected result. Each f us has the pwer t decide which "life seeds" t plant. Fr example, if yu plant ill seeds, it’s likely that yu’ll experience pain in return; hwever, if yu plant seeds f kindness and understanding, yur life will blm with happiness and lve.
A gardener’s truly hard wrk begins after the seeds are in the grund because a garden requires a lt f care and attentin. Regular watering and weeding are required fr a healthy garden. S, t ensure yur dreams take rt, yu shuld be devted, aware, and present. After cuntless hurs and energy spent, the crps will grw well and be finally ready t be harvested.

      D. Ding research n the cmmn lcal garden plants.

When was the last time yu sent smene a letter by regular mail? Thanks t the Internet, many peple prefer t send e-mails rather than mail letters using the pstal system. Mst f the peple said they didn’t check their spelling r punctuatin (标点) befre hitting "send". Even mre surprising was that 5% f them said they smetimes end e-mails t their bsses with the wrds "lve and kisses"! While this is fine fr persnal messages t friends and lved nes, it is nrmally cnsidered imprper in the wrkplace.
The main reasn fr this use f infrmal language in wrk e-mails is that a lt f yung peple have always cmmunicated with thers n the Internet — especially using e-mails — in a relaxed and friendly manner. Fr many peple, nline cmmunicatin utside f wrk, such as talking with thers in chat rms, psting infrmatin n message bards, and sending e-mails t friends, is usually fr fun.
