In Thai culture, elephants are very special, especially the white elephants. They are a symbl f gd luck, strength, pwer and wisdm.
Thai Elephant Day is a traditinal religius festival（宗教节日）. In Thailand, it is held every year t thank elephants. This is because their ancestrs（祖先） gave their lives t defend（保卫）the cuntry in wars.
The Elephant Day
On this day, elephants are washed clean by their wners and thendecrated. They g t Suphan Buri (攀素府) t take part in theannual “Elephant Games”. There are events like tug-f war（拔河）,weightlifting（举重）, kicking ball and bstacle curse（障碍赛）.
