教材分析
本节是一节听说课，通过构建过去场景中正在发生的各种情况引导学生学习并使用过去进行时，呈现a、 b 、c 、d 四个场景与左侧的小图形成呼应，引出目标语言—过去进行时。活动1a-1c通过以听力为核心的任务链设计呈现目标语言。活动1b通过听力对话将语法和句型在真实的情景对话中呈现出来。是输入语言，1c是语言输出。
学情分析
学生在七年级下册已学过现在进行时，掌握了如何使用现在进行时来描述日常生活活动，而且掌握了一些日常活动的短语有利于学生学习过去进行时。但是，后进学生较多，在教学设计上，还是采用对比来授课较好，能照顾到各方面的学生。

能运用过去进行时态谈论过去发生的事。

展示一些幻灯片复习现在进行时。询问过去某时间正在进行的动作引出过去进行时。
【设计意图】通过问题，为引出学习目标语言做准备。教师通过检查问题，了解学生对天气的表达以及现在进行时掌握情况，引出下一步的教学内容。

1.过去进行时(Past Prgressive Tense）
过去进行时由“was/were+动词-ing”构成，表示在过去某一时刻或某一段时间正在进行的动作。一般用时间状语来表示。
