    Step 1 Free talk:
    T: Hw is everything ging tday?
    S1: Fine. Thanks. And yu?
    T: Great. Last night, I saw sme interesting pictures n the Internet. Lk at thse pictures n the screen. D yu knw what is it?
    S1: It’s a baby panda!
    T: Yes. A baby panda is very small and pink. We have learned smething abut pandas last lessn. Nw read the fllwing wrds belw and discuss with yur partner abut pandas by using thse wrds.

    S1: I knw adult panda is black and white. It is much bigger than a baby panda.

    Step 2 Presentatin.
    After discussin in free talk time, ask sme students t talk abut pandas. Then shw pictures and intrductin abut Chinese pandas in detail. Lead in sme infrmatin that mentins in the article in 2b. Let students knw why pandas are very precius nt nly in China but als in the wrld.
    Let students t fllw the tape and read the article in 2b Sectin B. After reading, ask students abut the main idea f the article. Then teach students the language pints in the article. Make sure that students write dwn sme ntes. After that ask students t make sentences by using the language pints.
    Guide students t answer the questins in 2c Sectin B. Cmplete the blanks in 2d Sectin B.
    Let students t think abut the questin in 2e. Hw t find mre ways t prtect pandas? What shuld we d nw?
    Let students t explain hw t frm the cmparative and superlative structure . Then ask them t make sme sentences using the structures.
    Step 3 Oral English Practice.
    Based n the infrmatin in 3a. Wrk in grups t talk abut whales. What d they lk like? Where d they live? What d they eat? What can they d? Why d sme f them have t be prtected? Hw can we prtect them? Then make a shrt cnversatin abut it.
    Discuss with yur partner. Cmpare whales and pandas.
    Step 4 Hmewrk
    1. Write a shrt passage t call fr peple t prtect wild animals.
    2. Recite the new wrds and phrases.
