    Step 1: Warm-Up
    Greet students and ask students ne questin
    Ask: "Where did yu visit in China?"
    Students speak ut sme famus places r their experiences.
    Shw pictures f the fur places f interest and help them t recall the text they learnt last term.
    Encurage them t share simple sentences r key wrds they knw.
    (Purpse: Activate prir knwledge and build interest.)
    Step 2: Passage 1 Lead in
    Shw a vide abut Lanzhu. After watching, ask students “what d yu knw abut Lanzhu?”
    Shw pictures f Lanzhu after sme students answer, get familiar with the tpics related t this lessn ahead f time.
    Step 3: Reading
    Fast reading
    Read the passage and answer the fllwing questins.

    B Hw lng is the Yellw River?
    C. Where d many peple take pictures?
    Careful reading
    Read the passage and cmplete the table.
    Pst reading
    Read the passage and finish the mind map.

    Shw a vide abut Dunhuang. After watching, ask students “what d yu knw abut Dunhuang ?”
    Shw pictures f Lanzhu after sme students answer, get familiar with the tpics related t this lessn ahead f time.
    Fast reading
    Read the webpages and answer the questins.
    Pst reading
    Read the webpages again and cmplete the paragraph with the phrases.

    Pre-writing
    After learning the trip plan f Xi’an, Lanzhu and Dunhuang, students have already accumulated sme vcabulary, phrases and sentence patterns related t travel plans, and they can utput in terms f writing accrding t the knwledge they have learned.
    Create a scenari fr students t apply their learned knwledge t slve a real - wrld prblem: "Suppse Danny and Jenny are cming fr a trip. Please design a travel plan fr them."
    (Purpse: With the help f sme picture hints n the PPT and by inspiring students' previusly learned knwledge, they can quickly cmplete the frm and activate the knwn tpics.)

    Students finish their wn writing accrding t the chart.
    Pst-writing
    Fur students a grup and give them 5 minutes t prepare the passage. Chse a leader t share their articles.
