Task 1
Step 1 Warming-up
1. Shw a cartn Cindy Was Watching a Mvie and ask students the questins.
What is Cindy ding?
What was Cindy ding at nine yesterday?
2. Ask students “What were yu ding at nine yesterday?”
(设计意图:通过让学生看动画引出本单元的主要语法项目——过去进行时,激发学生学习兴趣的同时,提出动画中的两个问题用以旧带新的方式呈现过去进行时的句子,让学生初步感知过去进行时的用法,然后联系自己的生活实际引导学生用过去进行时回答问题。)
Step 2 Pre-listening
1. Shw a picture f rainstrm and the pictures in 1a. Then wrk in pairs and discuss where he/she was at the time f rainstrm.
2. Then check the answers in the whle class.
Step 3 While-listening
Wrk n 1b. Listen t the TV reprt and circle the crrect respnses.
Step 4 Pst-listening
Talk abut where the peple in 1a were and what they were ding at the time f the rainstrm. Give students an example. Then let three students talk abut the ther three pictures.
Example:
