- Affirmative: Subject + Base Verb + Cmplement (e.g., "I wake up
at 7:00 AM.")
- Negative: Subject + D/Des + Nt + Base Verb (e.g., "I dn’t
wake up early.")
- Interrgative: D/Des + Subject + Base Verb + Cmplement?
(e.g., "D yu wake up at 7:00 AM?")
2. Skills Develpment:
(1)Practice using the simple present tense in cnversatins abut daily
rutines.
(2)Listen fr specific details in cnversatins using the simple present
tense.

the simple present tense.

yu d every day?" (e.g., “I wake up at 7:00 AM.”)
2. Intrductin t the Lessn:
(1)Briefly explain the fcus f the lessn: Using the simple present tense
t talk abut daily rutines.
(2)Set the cntext by asking, "What d yu usually d in the mrning?"
Step 2: Intrductin t the Simple Present Tense (10 minutes)
1. Affirmative Sentences:
(1)Write the fllwing sentence n the bard:
“I wake up at 7:00 AM.”
(2)Explain that the simple present tense is used fr rutines and general
facts.
(3)Highlight that the base frm f the verb is used fr all subjects except
fr third-persn singular (he, she, it).

2. Negative Sentences:

(2)Write these sentences n the bard and underline the use f "dn’t"
and "desn't."
(3)Ask students t frm negative sentences abut their rutines in pairs.
3. Interrgative Sentences:
(1)Explain hw t frm questins using "d" r "des" at the beginning
f the sentence.
- “D yu wake up at 7:00 AM?”
- “Des she g t schl by bike?”
(2)Write sample questins n the bard and practice asking them in pairs.
(3)Demnstrate the questin frmatin with ther subjects:
- "D they have breakfast at 8:00 AM?"
- "Des he play ftball every day?"

Step 3: Practice Activities (10 minutes)
1. Exercise 1: Sentence Transfrmatin (5 minutes)
(1)Hand ut wrksheets with affirmative sentences. Ask students t
change them int bth negative and interrgative frms.
Example:
- Affirmative: "She eats breakfast at 7:00 AM."
- Negative: "She desn’t eat breakfast at 7:00 AM."
- Interrgative: "Des she eat breakfast at 7:00 AM?"
(2)Students wrk individually r in pairs t cmplete the exercise.

2. Exercise 2: Pair Wrk – Asking Questins (5 minutes)
(1)Have students pair up and ask each ther questins abut their rutines
using the structure they have just learned.

- "Des yur friend play sprts after schl?"
(2)Encurage students t ask fllw-up questins fr mre details.
Step 4: Listening Practice (8 minutes)
1. Listen t a Dialgue:
(1)Play an audi clip f tw peple discussing their daily rutines.

(2)Befre listening, tell students t listen fr specific details, such as the
times the speakers wake up and what they d during the day.
(3)After listening, ask questins t check cmprehensin:
- "What time des Tm wake up?"
- "Des Lucy g t the gym every day?"
Step 5: Rle Play (7 minutes)
In pairs, students rle-play cnversatins where they ask and answer
questins abut daily rutines. Encurage them t use affirmative,
negative, and interrgative sentences.
Example Rle Play:
- Student A: "What time d yu wake up?"
- Student B: "I wake up at 7:00 AM."
- Student A: "D yu wake up at 6:30 AM?"
- Student B: "N, I dn’t. I wake up at 7:00 AM."
Step 6: Writing Practice (5 minutes)
Ask students t write a shrt paragraph (4-5 sentences) abut their daily
rutines using the simple present tense. They shuld include at least ne
negative and ne questin.
Example:
“I wake up at 6:30 AM. I dn’t like waking up early. I have

breakfast at 7:00 AM. D yu eat breakfast at 7:00 AM?”
Step 7: Assignment
Assign students t write a detailed descriptin f their daily rutine,
including at least three different actins using affirmative, negative, and
interrgative frms.

Did they engage with the activities?
Challenges: Did students find frming negative and interrgative
