    B1U5 pints ut the prblems that the human sciety and nature are currently facing, and meanwhile, leads the students t an ideal wrld where peple and animals can live in harmny with ne anther. This is als what the passage intends t highlight-- the human-nature relatinship ges beynd the extent t which an individual sees r hears. It can be understd as an adaptive mindset and ur lngstanding actins and experiences that cnnect us t nature.     Review the idims that the students have learned in B1U5 Lessn One and the previus units
    Cnslidate students’ understanding n animal migratin and migratry animals
    Aruse students’ interests in the lessn
    Warm-up: Six quick Q&A questins:
    Students guess the animal-related idims based n the emjis as they already previewed the cncept f migratin in Lessn One.
    Students see the pictures f several animals and find ut the migratry animals
    While Reading:
    Main Ideas and Structure
    Details
    Apply skimming skills t lcating the main ideas f each paragraph
    Master the scanning skills by answering the detail-riented questins in each part, and draw a mindmap
    Achieve deeper cmprehensin n the article
    Activity 1: Skim and match the main ideas with each part. Finish textbk Task 3 n p52 .
    The teacher reviews the technique in grasping the main ideas by shwing students hw t skim step by step
    Students have several mins t finish the matching exercise and cmplete Task 3 n p52.
    Students check the answer
    The teacher tells students the type f text (i.e. expsitry writing) and the article’s structure, namely the Research Backgrund, Findings and Significance.
    Activity 2-4: Scan each part f the article respectively and answer relevant questins
    Students are given 1.5-3 mins t quickly scan the different sectins
    The teacher leads the students t examine the text frm 5W1H
    At the end f Activity 4, the teacher summarizes the details and lead students t draw a mind map

    Enhance the knwledge n mnarch migratin
    Help the students build up their pride f the cuntry and the cnfidence in themselves by shwing them the achievements that the Chinese gvernment has made in the past
    Enhance the understanding n the relatinship between humans and animals. Raise the awareness n animal prtectin
    Students cmplete tw activities which are the alteratin f the “Think & Share” sectin in textbk.
