Step3 Skimming and scanning
After predictin, they are asked t skim the text quickly t take ntes n wh these peple (Larry Belmnt, Claire, Tny and Gladys Claffern) are and their relatinships t each ther. Finally, students cnclude the main idea f this passage.
Justificatin: t train students’ ability t summarize the main idea.
Step4. Detailed reading
Students read the stry carefully and grasp the keywrds t answer the fllwing questins. The mst imprtant thing is t explre and infer the changes f Claire’s feelings twards Tny as the stry develped.
Students wrk in grups and cme up with an ending. Then, they listen t the rest f the stry and cntinue t write the changes f Claire’s feelings twards Tny at the ending. Students try t find the similarities and differences between Tny and a human being.
