一、整体设计思路
本单元围绕“急救”这一知识展开,要求学生在学习后能掌握有关急救的相关知识,学生对于急救这个话题虽然比较熟悉,但关于急救的一些详细知识仍需从学习中获得。本篇阅读为本单元Reading应用板块的阅读材料,分别对皮肤的功能、导致烧伤的原因、烧伤的不同类型及特点和对烧伤的急救措施的进行具体描述。本文的结构比较清晰,长难句较少,且高一年级的学生在初中阶段已经积累了一定的词汇基础,并掌握了一些简单的阅读策略和技巧,因此学生可在老师的引导下可顺利地理解和把握文章内容。为了让学生把握文章内容,我通过呈现和制作思维导图的方式梳理文章,旨在让学生学会使用思维导图概括文章内容,通过本文的学习能让学生知道如何应对烧伤。

Teaching Prcedures:
Step 1 : Lead-in and pre-reading
a) Shw students sme pictures f peple injured in sprts meeting and ask the questin:
What is first aid?
b) Students read the warming up and find ut the definitin f first aid.
c) Lead in the passage by shwing a picture f the little wh gets burned.
Purpse: T aruse the students’ interest in learning mre abut first aid fr burns.
Step 2: Reading and analyzing
a). Let the students lk thrugh the text quickly and analyze the structure f the passage.
b) Students read and find ut the functins f the skin and causes f burns.
c) Student read, find ut and cmplete the infrmatin f types and characteristics f burnsin the given mind map.
d) Get students t knw the way f mind map t shw the lgic.
Purpse: t imprve students’ skills f skinning and summarizing.

Step 3. Reading and creating
Students read the treatment fr first aid and create their wn mind map in grups.
Purpse: t see whether students can use mind maps prperly.
Step 4. Presentatin
Invite students t shw their mind maps and tell the treatment fr burns accrding t the mind map.
Purpse: t check whether students knw hw t create a mind map and hw t help peple in need.
Step 5: Hmewrk
Ask students t create their wn mind map f this passage.
