一、设计思想
本课写作主题为“Describe a place that yu like”，承接本单元前面对英国伦敦等城市的历史文化景点介绍，通过阅读关于爱尔兰的美丽景色与风土人情的描写短文，使学生掌握对自己熟悉地点的景物进行描写的能力。教材中本课包括文本理解、语言结构和语言特征分析、写作准备、文稿修改与展示等四个环节，体现了输入到输出的过程，本课在设计时着重强调了对语篇结构和语言特征（感官细节描写）的分析，并通过仿写提高学生对优秀表达的借鉴运用能力，最后运用小组合作写作的活动方式，提高学生的合作学习能力和输出表达能力。
二、教学目标
1. 语言能力：
① 学生能学习掌握景物描写文章的基本特点；
② 学生能学习和运用有关感官描写和景物描写的词汇，调动各种感官对某一地区风景习俗进行描写。
2. 文化意识：
① 学生能了解爱尔兰的美丽景色和风土人情，提高跨文化意识，拓宽国际视野。
② 学生能体会到美就在身边，学会在生活中寻找美、发现美、记录美，用所学英语讲述家乡祖国之美。
3. 思维品质：
① 学生能归纳提炼文章主旨大意；
② 学生能提高解读文章结构的能力。
4. 学习能力：
① 学生进行合作学习；
② 学生能正确认识阅读对提高英语表达能力的意义，通过阅读提炼优秀表达方式，运用到自己的表达中去。
三、重点难点
1．学生能增强把握篇章结构的能力；
2．学生能提高赏析文章语言的能力；
3．学生能学会参照范例佳作、融入自己的语言进行写作表达。
四、教学策略与手段
1. 教学策略：
① 以任务型教学作为课堂教学的设计理念，实行任务型活动策略。任务明确，前后呼应，使学生在合作中真实运用所学知识。强调教学方法的灵活性和多样性。整体语言教学法（Whle Language Teaching）和交际法（Cmmunicative Language Teaching）等教学方法，学生通过自学、交流、讨论等各种形式来学习并掌握并运用语言，从而使语言的学习既富有成效，又多姿多彩。
② 坚持教师作为学生学习的引导者和促进者，学生是学习的主体。实行开放式的教学策略，以有限的课堂为载体，给学生提供足够的空间，发挥学生的想象力，培养学生的创造力。教师通过图片展示、同桌讨论、小组讨论、成果展示等多种教学手段来激活学生的学习兴趣，在构建支架后交由学生自己创作，充分发挥学生的主体作用。
③ 贯彻“从做中学”“学以致用”的教学策略，通过仿写、段落写作使学生将课文语言转化为自己的表达输出。
④ 循序渐进和梯度分明的教学策略。教学活动由易到难，由简到繁，由输入到输出。

运用多媒体辅助教学，用图片画面呈现凸显视觉描写的表现力。
五、教学过程
Step I: Lead-in
Draw students’ attentin t the seasn f spring and their spring uting a few weeks ag. Then ask students t have a grup discussin n what they saw, heard, smelled, felt r tasted during the trip. Then invite a few students t share it.
【设计说明】近来春暖花开，学生对外出游玩兴致勃勃，联系到几周前学校组织的瓜渚湖春游，让学生回忆所见、所听、所闻、所尝、所感，引出“该如何描述一处所喜爱的地方”这一主题，并为后续分析学习课文和写作中使用感官描写做铺垫。
Step II: Reading fr Structure
Ask students t read the text and find ut its intrductry sentence and ending sentence, and divide the bdy int 2 parts. Thrugh bserving the cntent f the three parts, let students cnclude the first tip fr writing a descriptive cmpsitin: tell readers yur tpic in the intrductin and give readers a summary r suggestin in the ending.
【设计说明】分析篇章结构，使学生了解到写作中应当使用intrductin – bdy – ending的结构，并在首尾写作合适的内容，为进一步分析文本细节和后续写作作铺垫。
Step III: Reading fr details
1. Read sentence 4–6 (descriptin f Ireland’s natural scenery)
Ask students what sense d we humans have (write n blackbard). Then ask students t read sentence 4–6 and find ut the sensry details used in each sentence.
【设计说明】与导入活动中的感官运用相照应，展示优秀篇章是如何运用感官进行描写的，同时通过图片展示文字所呈现的画面，凸显感官细节描写带来的表现力。
2. Study the transitin
Ask students hw the authr cnnects Ireland’s landscape with Ireland’s traditins. Then ffer the secnd tip fr writing: use transitinal sentences t make the writing chesive.
【设计说明】加深学生对篇章结构的理解，并学会运用在写作中过渡句衔接各部分。
3. Read sentence 7–10 (descriptin f Ireland’s traditins)
Ask students t read sentence 7–10 and find ut hw we can use ur sense f taste t experience Ireland’s traditins. Then ask students t summarize the third tip fr writing: use sensry details t make the descriptin vivid.
【设计说明】在第一部分已分析过文中对视觉、听觉、嗅觉、触觉的描写，加上此处的味觉描写，人的五感均已被调动，由此自然引出第三条写作建议，也是本课的核心：调动感官细节使描写更生动。
Step IV: Summary f writing tips
Ask students t fill in the blanks n the slide as a summary f the previus reading.
【设计说明】总结方才所学到的写作技巧，回顾所学知识，进行归纳总结，为接下去的段落写作打下基础。
Step V: Writing
1. Imitate
Shw students pictures f Guazhu Lake, cherry blssms swaying in the wind, and a bird (singing) n a branch. Ask students t imitate the 4th and 5th sentences f the text t describe the scene in the pictures. If necessary, the Chinese translatins can be used t guide students.
【设计说明】仿写是使学生从输入到输出转变的重要一步，在教师的图片和语言引导下（可辅以中文提示进行翻译），运用恰当的词汇对课文中描写句进行仿写，尝试调动视觉与听觉，将对爱尔兰的描写转化为对身边瓜渚湖公园美景的描写，为后续段落写作做铺垫。同时培养学生的阅读意识，使学生认识到阅读对写作提高的积极作用。
2. Write a paragraph
Ask students t wrk in grups f fur and write a shrt paragraph, which includes an intrductin, an ending, and a bdy f 1–3 sentences with at least ne sense used, t describe Guazhu Lake Park. Each grup shuld have a grup leader, a writer (wh is respnsible fr writing dwn what has been discussed), a speaker (wh gets ready fr intrducing their wrk), and a participant (wh actively ffers ideas). Then invite tw grups t present their wrks.

六、作业设计
假设你是李华，你的澳大利亚朋友Adam要来中国旅行，请你写一封信向他推荐杭州。内容要点如下：
1．推荐一处景点；
2．运用感官描写；
3. 表示欢迎。
可适当增添细节，词数80词左右。
【设计说明】课外作业是课堂学习的补充和延伸。作为一堂写作课，课后作业为短文写作，运用感官细节描写推荐杭州及一处景点，既是对课堂内容的一脉相承，有利于巩固学生在课堂上所获得的知识与技能，又是为考试中的应用文写作做准备，是对学生写作能力的进一步提高。
