    Task 1 Skimming
    T read a passage quickly t get an idea f what it is abut is t skim the passage. The T can give Ss sme tips t help them skim a passage effectively.
    T skim a passage, yu shuld read:
    the heading and sub-heading
    the first paragraph
    the first sentence in each paragraph
    the last paragraph

    cnnect... t/with... 把……和……相连接;
    cnnect… with...还可表示“把和…...联系起来”
    knwledge常用作不可数名词。但有时可用a knwledge,常与介词f或 abut 连用,表示“…...方面的知识”。

    In this perid,the mst imprtant thing is reading.It is a gd time t train the students' ability f reading quickly and efficiently.Usually we d sme wrk t deal with new wrds and phrases befre reading.While reading,students shuld learn t catch the main and the mst imprtant ideas as quickly as they can.They must learn sme new wrds and new language items.They are suppsed t be able t use dictinaries t lk up the new wrds.They need t have reading strategies and the teacher shuld teach them these.After reading, we can talk abut the reading passage and discuss sme questins t check hw well the students learn frm the passage.
