    课前自主探究一: Review the stry.When my little brther Tm was fur, Mm said smething like “I’d give anything t have a few mre hurs in the day.” And Tm said, “Why dn’t we buy a bigger clck?” If time wrked that way, I culd have used an extra-big clck last week!Our teacher had asked us t make an art prject shwing hw plants eat, “I can’t believe we nly have tw nights t finish it,” Nah said with a sigh. “I have n idea hw I’ll get mine dne.”I didn’t say anything. Nt because I was nervus --- I wasn’t nervus at all. 1 lve art prjects! In fact, I was s relaxed that I didn’t wrk n the prject at all n Mnday night. I planned t start the minute I gt hme frm baseball practice n Tuesday. But there was just ne thing.I frgt baseball wuld run later than usual because it was the day f Baseball Buddies, which happens every mnth, and it’s a chance fr us lder students t practise baseball with the adrable yunger kids. The secnd I gt hme, I threw the entire craft bx (手工盒) nt the kitchen table, tk ut my “Hw Plants Eat” paper, and started t wrk. But just then, the telephne rang.It was my friend Ollie, wh said his grandmther Abuela had just made ckies and wanted t knw if I’d cme help decrate them. I lve decrating ckies, and I lve, lve. lve Abucla’s wrld-famus Thanksgiving ckies that nly happen nce a year!I had n chice. I had t g. Ollie and I put all the star ckies with red jam filling in ne grup, and all the snwflakes with white cream-cheese filling in anther. It was 7 ’clck when I finally gt hme.1 planned t wrk n my prject right after we ate. But then anther interruptin hit me.
