二.教学设计思路
本单元主要采用任务型教学法来培养学生自立,合作,探究,互动和创新的意识。本单元是围绕“谈论日常生活用品用什么原材料制造,以及出产地在什么地方”这个话题展开各种教学活动的。通过对日常生活用品的学习,使学生了解该用品由什么原材料制造而成。通过本单元的学习使学生学会如何用英语去描述日常生活用品用什么材料制成及他们的产地。在废品图片展示和学生手工艺品展示环节中,让学生们了解到,我们可以把废弃品制成我们生活中可用的东西,甚至是艺术品,我们可以变废为宝。这样不仅培养了学生们的创新意识,审美观,更重要的是他们学会了把生活中的垃圾变废为宝,让这些宝美化我们的环境而不是污染环境,使他们认识到我们可以这样去保护我们的环境。

Sentences:
What are the shirts made f ? ---They are made f cttn.
Where were they made ? ---They were made in Thailand.

Step1.Warm up

Step2. Lead in
1 . Teacher asks students t lk at the screen and ntice the title f Unit 5, then let them find ut tw key wrds frm this title and tell the meaning. Finally, invite smene t tell the meaning f the title. T can help them if they dn’t get ut the right answer.
2.Tell them:in this lessn, we’ll learn t talk abut what prducts are made f and where they were made. D yu want t learn? Well, fllw me .
3.Use the pictures n the screen t teach new wrds abut materials &prducts and sentences.
T pints t the picture and ask students “What are these ?” If students dn’t knw, T may help them. Then T teaches them t read the new wrds and pint t the picture f the prduct t ask students “D yu knw what they are made f ?”and pint t the picture f the material, help students t answer.

Use this way t teach ther new wrds , phrases and sentences.
4. T shws all f the new wrds n the screen, invite smene t read these wrds and tell their meanings. If their prnunciatin isn’t right, T helps them crrect it. Use this way t check if students learn these new wrds well. Finally, students read the wrds after T again.
5.Let students summarize phrases and the sentence structures by themselves and tell the differences between them. T can help them.

1.Ask students t have a lk at things and the materials in the chart. Encurage students t speak freely t match the thing with the materials. Then invite smene t tell his/her answers.

Shw a cnversatin n the screen and Let students read
it. Then ask them t use the infrmatin in 1a r ther things arund them t make cnversatins.
Give them several minutes t d this wrk. Then invite sme pairs t act them ut.
Activity 1b
1.T says I have three prducts, but I dn’t knw what they are made f .I need yu t help me find ut their materials. Then shw the questins n the screen. Students listen t the recrding abut 1b ne time and find ut the answers.
T says yu shuld pay attentin t the wrds abut the materials. After listening, invite smene t tell the answers .
2. Use the same way t find ut “Where were the prducts made?”
3.Ask students t lk at 1b.Lead them t read instructin and have a lk at the wrds in the chart t knw what t d and hw t d it. Just play the recrding ne time. Then invite smene t check the answers. Crrect mistakes if any.
Step4.Practice
1.Shw sme wrks that they’re made f used things n the screen. Let students t have a lk at them, then ask them “what d yu think f these wrks? What are they made f”.
2. T invites sme students t tell what they learn frm the wrks. T can help them.
3.Students shuld cllect used things and use them t make useful things. Let students knw recycling used things can save resurces and prtect ur envirnment.

两词组都是“由……制成的”之意。be made f 指从原料到制成品只发生了形状变化,没有发生本质变化(属物理变化)。be made frm指从原料到制成品发生质的变化,无法复原(属化学变化)。
