【教学目标】

1．通过Say and act的情景对话，帮助学生了解消防员的职业特点。

2．帮助学生学习字母i在闭音节中的发音。

3．通过学习任务，帮助学生巩固和运用本单元所学的知识。

【教学重难点】

1．语音：i (pig, pink)

2．词汇：kid, people

3．日常用语：Wow!

【教学过程】

Step1 Pre-task preparations

I.在黑板上写上表示不同职业的单词，然后问学生What does your father/mother do?教师边问，边记下不同职业的人数，然后请全班学生一起数一下每种职业有多少人，最后告诉学生调查统计结果，如：In our class, five students' mothers are teachers. Four student's fathers are driver. …

II.播放Listen and enjoy的录音，让学生跟读儿歌。借助图片帮助学生理解个别单词的含义，如fire engine。

Step2 While-task procedures

I.出示Say and act的图片，根据图片预设一些问题，请学生阅读对话，并注意读取相关的信息。

(Picture 1)

（1）What place is it?

(It's a fire station.)

（2）Who is this man?

(He's Jill's father/Mr. Xu.)

（3）What does he do?

(He's a fireman.)

(Picture 2)

（1）What's this? (It's a fire engine.)

（2）What is it like? (Ifs big.)

(Picture 3)

（1）Is Mr. Xu afraid of fire? (No, he isn't.)

（2）Why not? (He like his job. He can help people.)

What does Mr. Xu say to the children?

(“Don't play with fire.”)

然后要求学生快速回答教师提问，检测学生是否理解了对话内容。

II.让学生读Say and act的对话，并完成下面的Read and tick练习，检测学生对课文的理解程度。教师先解释一些词汇，如fire station, police station, fire engine 等。

III.让学生两人一组根据图片看图说话。教师可以根据每张图片给出一些关键词或词组，鼓励学生用自己的语言来介绍。然后让学生分组表演对话。

(Picture 3) afraid of fire, help people

(Picture 4) play with fire

(Picture 5) go home, happy

IV.出示Learn the sounds的语音单词卡片 i (pig, pink)，让学生跟读数遍，直到他们读准字母i的发音。

T: i, /ɪ/, pig; i, /ɪ/, pink.

Ss: i, /ɪ/, pig; i, /ɪ/, pink.

让学生说出更多含有字母i的单词，带领学生一起朗读。如：

in, is, it, fish, thin, sister, six, this, window, winter, rabbit, Miss, biscuit, litter, milk, swim, spring.

然后播放儿歌录音，要求学生跟着录音朗读。

Step3 Post-task activities

出示一张家谱图，图中应有祖孙三代人的头像、名字及职业说明。让学生根据家谱进行对话，然后填空完成短文，介绍家谱中的家庭成员。

S1: This is one's father/mother/grandmother/... What does ... do?

S2: He's/ She's...
