【教学目标】
1.帮助学生学习Look and learn中几个关于动物的单词。
2.开展模仿拼读活动和各种游戏活动,帮助学生掌握单词。

词汇:bear, elephant, lion, monkey, panda, tiger

【教学过程】
I. Pre-task preparations
1.播放一首有关动物的歌曲,如“In the zoo”:
There's a tiger in the zoo.
There's a tiger in the zoo.
There's a tiger in the zoo.
La la la la la la la.
There's a lion in the zoo.
There's a lion in the zoo.
There's a lion in the zoo.
La la la la la la la.
There's a monkey in the zoo.
There's a monkey in the zoo.
There's a monkey in the zoo.
La la la la la la la.
让学生跟着录音唱一唱。通过歌曲活跃课堂气氛,并引入本单元的话题。
2.把挂图贴在黑板上。指着其中的小动物图片,如:cat, dog和rabbit,通过猜谜活动来复习这些单词。
T: It is white. Its ears are long. It's eyes are red. It has a small mouth. What is it?
S1: Is it a rabbit?
T: Yes, it is.
然后指着老虎、狮子、大象等野生动物的图片,通过提问让学生了解这些动物与农场动物不同,从而引出本单元的话题Animals in the zoo。
T: Where do rabbits live, in the zoo or on the farm?
S1: On the farm.
T: Yes, they're farm animals, (point to the lions, monkeys and tigers) Look at these animals. Are they farm animals?
S2:No.
T: They don't live on the farm. They are wild animals. We can see them in the zoo.
II. While-task procedures
1.出示Look and learn栏目中的单词图片,并张贴在黑板上,学生在理解词义的基础上仔细听其发音后进行模仿,并对所学单词进行拼读。模仿和拼读活动可以是集体与个别相结合。
T: (show the flashcard for bear) Look, this is a bear. Bear, B-E-A-R, bear.
Ss: Bear, B-E-A-R, bear.
T: (show the flashcard for monkey) Look at this animal. Is this a bear?
S2: No.
T: Right. This is a monkey. Monkey. M-O-N-K-E-Y, monkey.
Ss: Monkey. M-O-N-K-E-Y, monkey.
2.将黑板上所有单词图片打乱后,抽掉其中一张,让学生猜一猜教师抽掉的是什么图片,说出并拼读单词。第一次示范的时候,可以是教师和学生互动,第二次以后,可以邀请同学上来做小老师,开展生生互动的活动。
T: (take away the flashcard for tiger) What is missing?
Ss: Tiger. T-I-G-E-R, tiger.
3.猜谜游戏。出示几种动物的图片,播放录音,让学生猜测是哪种动物。通过游戏活动,让学生进一步巩固所学单词。
T: (play the recording of the sound that an elephant makes) Listen and guess. What is it?
S1: Is it a monkey?
T: No, it isn't.
S2: Is it a tiger?
T: No, it isn't.
S3: Is it an elephant?
T: Yes, it's an elephant.
4.播放一首有关动物的儿歌:
We can see all kinds of animals in the zoo.
Lions, tigers, bears and bulls too.
We can see all kinds of animals in the zoo.
Monkeys, zebras, foxes and pandas.
5.让学生说说能够听到哪些动物。将歌曲作为听力材料,训练听力的同时,复习所学单词。
T: What animals can you hear?
S1: I can hear bears.
S2: I can hear…
III. Post-task activities
1.播放歌曲“In the zoo”,让学生跟着录音一起唱。跟唱几遍后,教师可以让学生戴上这些动物的头饰,以男生、女生或小组等形式,让学生上来表演唱。通过歌曲的学习和表演,巩固所学动物类单词。
2.把挂图贴在黑板上,让学生选择其中一种动物进行介绍。
S1: Look at this animal.
It's a tiger.
It's big and fat.
It's yellow and black.
Its eyes are big.
Its ears are small.
Its mouth is big.
Its tail is long.
