Xu Zhencha Xu Zhencha was brn int a pr wrking-class family in 1950. He became a wrker at 18. In 1984, he was selected as a bridge crane driver in the first grup at Qingda Prt.
Later, the cmpany sent him t learn hw t drive in Shanghai, but many intrductins and drawings were in English. He culd nt understand, s he bught an English-Chinese dictinary. He cpied English wrds in a ntebk and tk it wherever he went. He ften read the wrds repeatedly in his free time. Three mnths later, he learned hw t perate a bridge crane and understd drawings. Then he returned t Qingda Prt.
As a bridge crane driver, he practised his driving skills very hard and always wrked until midnight. Finally, he had a bridge crane under his cntrl. Yu Zhencha has wn many awards and hnurs fr his great success.
