1. To show the pictures of the four great inventions of ancient China and teach the words.
2. To explain the inventors one by one and get students to read and remember.

1. To show the the pictures about four modern invents and get students to say out the words.
2. Encourage students to say something about these inventions they have known.
3. Get students to number their invent time and give the reasons by using the function patterns.
4. Check the answers together.
5. Read the time in 1b and explain the rules how to read the year.
6. Play the tape for the first time and get students to match the inventions with the years.
7. Listen again and check the answers together.
8. Play the tape for the third time and get students read after the tapes and under line the passive voice in listening material.
9. Get students to pay attention to the be verbs and simple explain the structure of the simple structure of the passive voice of the simple past tense.

1. Advantages（亮点）：本课使用了大量的介绍和排序使学生对发明创造的时间、顺序及影响产生了兴趣，并丰富了一些科学文化知识。

2.Disadvantages（不足）：听力练习不是十分充足，没有深挖材料，简单的完成课本任务没有充分练习听力技巧。。

3.Teaching Advice（教学建议）：教师结合实际情况查找一些听力素材，帮助学生丰富课外知识，设计一些关于时间、人物、目的等的问题锻炼听力技巧。
