I can remember being a child and every day we would have dinner with my grandparents. It was a rewarding experience and I will carry it with me forever. However, when computer or TV has taken up family time, you know there is a problem. So here are some tips which can bring your family closer together.

Do not force your family to spend time together. This will only make them hate family time even more. Find things they enjoy and work around it to draw everyone near. If your child likes computer games, you could try one of the new interactive DVD games. Everyone likes to win and beating parents in a game can be rather rewarding.

Spend time in the kitchen together. If you have young kids, they love to make a mess and that is why I suggest the kitchen. Bake some cookies with them and let them join us. They will love this. When these are done. You can sit down and enjoy them with kids.

Always remember that one child is not the same as another. I have two children. My older son is a perfect little angel, while my little son is always trying to get into trouble. So i have to remind myself that I have to treat them differently. For example, I can go to movies with my older son buyt my little son has to stay home.
