探究三:Language Points 1.辨析 alive,live,living和lively
(1)alive“活着的,有活力的”常作表语,可用作宾语补足语。(2)live“活着的,现场直播的”一般用作前置定语,多与表示物的名词连用。(3)living“活着的” 可作表语,也可作定语,作定语时要放在所修饰词的前面。(4)lively“活泼的,栩栩如生的”一般用作定语,与“死板的,死气沉沉的”意义相反。[练一练]:
①.I want to keep the fish alive. 我想让鱼活着。②.The cat was playing with a live mouse. 那只猫在玩一只活老鼠。③Her grandfather is still living at the age of 93. 她爷爷已93岁,仍然健在。④She is a lively young girl,always laughing and doing things.她是个活泼的小姑娘,总是欢声笑语,忙个不停。
2.辨析join,join in,take part in和attend
(1)join后接党派、团体、组织等,指加入某个党派、团体、组织等;成为其中的一员。后接人,指参加到某个人群中。(2)join in 多指参加小规模的活动,如球赛、游戏等。
(3)take part in 指参加会议或群众性的活动,着重说明参与者在活动中起积极作用。
(4)attend 指参加会议、婚礼、典礼,去上学、听课、听报告等。[练一练]:
①.She joined the Young Pioneers.她加入了少先队。
②.Will you join us in the discussion?你愿意加入我们的讨论吗?
③.Come along,and join in the ball game. 快来参加球赛。
④.We often take part in physical labor. 我们经常参加体力劳动。
