Lesson 1
【教材分析】
本单元的话题是社区,本课讲的是Li Ming向Jenny介绍自己的新邻居Andy的故事.从语法的角度来说是进一步学习运用一般现在时的第三人称单数形式讨论他人的相关生活信息等.
【教学目标】
1.知识,技能目标:
(1)能在文本语境中听懂,会说,认读,拼写单词idea;
(2)能听懂,会说,认读单词和短语: next to, neighbor, stay, neighborhood, show, around,并能结合句型灵活运用.
2.情感目标:让学生初步了解中西方社区的不同,培养学生的跨文化交际能力.
【教学重难点】
能听懂,会说并认读句子"He lives next to me."正确运用一般现在时的第三人称单数形式表达他人的居住地点,兴趣爱好等.
【教学准备】
CD-ROM,单词卡,PPT
【教学过程】
Ⅰ.Warm-up
1.教师与学生日常交流,营造轻松愉悦的英语学习氛围.
2.教师出示学生已经学过的人物图片,如: Lucy, Jenny等.用Where is he/ she from?进行师生对话.(可以参考第二题人物图片,也可以找一些学生比较熟悉的名人或有国籍的卡通人物,比如:奥巴马,柯南等)
Ⅱ.Presentation
1.出示Andy的图片.T: He's our new friend. Where is he from? Let's watch the CD-ROM.
(1)S: He's from Ottawa.
(2)T: "Where did he live in Ottawa?"引导学生找出答案: "He lived in Young Street."
2.T: "Who lived in Young Street, too?"
(1)引导学生通过阅读第二段并找出答案: Jenny lived in Young Street, too.
(2)T: "Jenny and Andy were neighbors in Canada."教授neighbor.
3.T: "Where does Andy live now?"
(1)引导学生听录音回答: "He lives next to Li Ming."教授短语next to
(2)T: "Li Ming and Jack are neighbors in China now. They are in a neighborhood. "教授单词neighborhood.
4.T: "Does Andy enjoy his stay in Beijing?"教授单词stay.
(1)引导学生通过看文本回答"Yes, he does.
(2)T: Why?
S: He likes Chinese food. And the new neighborhood is nice."
5.T: "It's a new neighborhood for Andy, so what does Li Ming say?"
S: "Shall I show you around? Good idea. "
教授单词shall 和短语show around.
6.Listen and repeat.模仿跟读,注意语音语调.
Ⅲ.Practice
1.组织学生分组操练,分角色表演对话,并戴头饰上台表演展示.
2.Let's talk部分的内容.通过转盘游戏播放图片,学生分组操练并展示.提示学生可以用否定句.
Ⅳ.Production
完成Let's do部分.活动步骤如下:
(1)每组合作制作如图所示表示职业,爱好的两个卡片.
(2)每个同学根据词条提示描述自己喜欢的一个邻居.
(3)找同学台前展示: XXX is my neighbor. He's/She's from... He's/ She's a... He/ She likes...
【作业布置】
1.读课文3遍
2.Talk about your favorite neighbor.
