教学目标 | Knowledge objectives ①Key vocabulary: journey, book, outside, choice, however, cost ②Key sentences: How long does the journey take and what is the best way to travel? Could you please tell me about the trains or ships to get there? A journey by train is more relaxing than by coach, but a lot more expensive. However, it will not cost as much as going by train. Ability objectives ①Be able to talk about the ways of travelling with comparatives and superlatives. ②Be able to use vocabulary and phrases correctly in this unit. Emotional objectives ①Let students actively participate in communicative activities and speak English boldly. ②Help students develop their thinking ability by analyzing and reading for detailed information. |

教学过程 | 1.Lead-in: ①Teacher asks students to watch the video. ②Ask students to name the modes of transportation mentioned in the video. ③Students talk with their partners and teacher checks the answer. 2.Presentation Task 1 New words ①Show some pictures about the new words. ②Teacher organizes the students to read the new words together. ③Teacher picks a few students to read the words. Task 2 Reading ①Ask students to work in pairs and talk about the ways to go to a city that they like to visit. ②Play the tape and ask students to scan the passage. ③Ask students to skim the passage and number the ways of travelling from the most expensive to the least expensive. ④Guide the students to listen to the tape again. ⑤Ask students to complete the table. ⑥Ask students to complete the passage with the correct form of the words in the box. ⑦Organize the students to check the answers in the whole class. Task 3 Notes ①Organize students to come to the blackboard and show out some difficult language points that they found. ②Teacher explains the language points. Task 4 Sentences ①Teacher shows the important sentences. ②Ask the students to read through the sentences. Task 5 Writing ①Ask students to work in pairs and ask and answer about the ways of travelling. ②Let some students act out their dialogues. 3.Practice Ask students to finish the practice.
