Pandas are the national treasure of China. Most of them live in the deep forests of Sichuan Province in China. Bamboo is their favorite food. They have white fur, though their shoulders, legs, ears and eyes are black. Not only Chinese people like them, foreigners enjoy them very much because of their cute looks.

In 2003, Ya Ya, who was born at Beijing Zoo in 2000, went to Memphis Zoo in the US state of Tennessee with another lovely panda, Le Le. They lived in the US for about 20 years. Le Le died at Memphis Zoo at the age of 25 years old. Ya Ya is weak and ill now. We need to take her home quickly.

Chinese experts(专家) go to Memphis Zoo in the United States to help take care of giant panda YaYa and ensure(确保; 保证) her health. The move comes after the Chinese Association of Zoological Gardens received(收到) reports of Ya Ya’s poor health. A team of keepers from Beijing Zoo also travel to the US to work with Memphis Zoo to help protect Ya Ya’s health and then take her back to China.
