Lesson 19: The Best Neighbourhood
设计说明 首先,展示社区的照片,并就此询问学生问题,由此导入本节课;然后,设置看图并回答问题环节,通过观察地图,使学生熟悉对话中提到的一些地点;接下来,通过Listening环节,进一步熟悉对话内容,同时训练学生的听力;之后,通过读并回答问题,继续熟悉对话内容;最后,通过Role-play环节,检验学生对对话内容的掌握程度,同时也训练学生的口语能力。 教学目标 通过本课节的教学,让学生达成以下目标: 1.知识目标 掌握单词:perfect, thirsty, complete 接触单词:neighbourhood 2.能力目标 能读懂并听懂关于介绍社区的短文;学会介绍自己所在街区中的事物。 3.情感目标 热爱自己所在的街区。 重点难点 1.重点:掌握本课节的重点单词、短语和句型。 2.难点:读懂并听懂关于介绍社区的短文;学会介绍自己所在街区中的事物。 教学准备 PPT课件;课文朗读的音频;Let’s Do It ! 1的音频。 授课时数 1课时 教学过程 Step 1 Warming up Show the students some pictures of a neighbourhood and ask the following questions. • What’s in your neighbourhood? • Do you like your neighbourhood? Why or why not?
Step 2 Look and answer Look at Li Ming’s map. What’s in his neighbourhood? The answer: A corner store, a video store, a parking lot, a park, a bank and a house. Step 3 Listening Listen and write down what’s in each person’s neighbourhood. (Let’s Do It! No. 1)

Step 4 Reading Read the lesson and answer the questions. (Let’s Do It! No. 2) 1. What are Li Ming and Wang Mei doing? 2. Who drew three bookstores? 3. Did Li Ming draw a corner store? 4. Who needs a big park? 5. What can Wang Mei’s mum buy at the market? Answers: 1. They are drawing a map of their perfect neighbourhood. 2. Wang Mei drew three bookstores. 3. Yes, he did. 4. Li Ming needs a big park. 5. She can buy vegetables and fruits at the market. Step 5 Role-play 1. Ask the students to role-play the lesson in pairs. 2. Select some pairs to present the role-play in front of the class. Step 6 Practice Fill in the blanks with the words in the box. (Let’s Do It! No. 3)

both… and…表示“两个都,……和……都”,连接两个并列部分。连接两个并列主语时,谓语动词常用复数形式。 He spoke both French and English. 他既会说法语又会说英语。 Both his brother and his sister are married. 他的哥哥和姐姐两人都结婚了。 2. I need a big park so I can play basketball ! 我需要一个大公园,这样我就能打篮球了! so【连词】以便;因此;所以 引出一个表示目的或结果的句子。 because 和so不能同时出现,though和but也是如此。 I’m very thirsty, so I want to drink some water. 我口很渴,所以我想要喝一些水。 3. And here’s a corner store. 而且这里有一家便利店。 这是一个倒装句,主语是a corner store,为了强调,here放在了be动词的前面。 该句的正常语序:And a corner store is here. Here are some books. 这是一些书。 Here is a photo. 这里有一张照片。 注意:副词here或there放在句首,当主语为名词的时候,使用倒装语序, 即:Here/There+谓语动词+主语(名词).,但当主语为代词时,不使用倒装, 即:Here/There+主语(代词)+谓语动词.。 Here comes the bus. 公共汽车来了。(主语是名词,用倒装语序) Here they are! 他们在这儿!(主语是代词,不倒装) 4. I also added a Canadian restaurant to complete my map. 我也加了一家加拿大餐馆来完成我的地图。 complete【及物动词】完成;结束 常指完成预定的任务、工程或建设等。近义词为finish,但finish后面可跟动名词,而complete不可以。 The writer has completed/finished his novel. 这个作家已写完了他的小说。 拓展:complete 【形容词】完整的,完全的 The list below is not complete. 下列名单不全。 Step 9 Homework
