Writing: Life in different seasons
设计说明 通过四季图片,让学生熟悉本节课话题,由此导入新课。讲解现在进行时,为后面描述图片做语言上的准备。通过看图、听录音以及表演对话,学习Look and read的内容。向学生展示玫瑰花园社区的四季图,引导学生对图片进行描述。可先选取一张图片进行示范,这有助于引导学生观察并表达图片的意思,接下来再让学生结对练习,描述其他图片,培养学生善于观察、敢于表达的能力。然后给学生布置写作任务,让他们描写自己社区的四季,由此提高学生的写作水平,锻炼他们的语言综合运用能力。讲解部分知识点。最后设置课堂达标检测。 教学目标 通过本课节的教学,让学生达成以下目标: 1.知识目标 学习现在进行时。 2.能力目标 能够读懂有关的图片并进行对话;能够结合图片介绍社区四季的情况。 3.情感目标 培养学生认真观察的习惯,激发学生语言表达的热情。 重点难点 重点:学习现在进行时。 难点:能够读懂有关的图片并进行对话;能够结合图片介绍社区四季的情况。 教学准备 PPT课件;活动Look and read的录音;有关四季的图片。 授课时数 1课时 教学过程 Step 1 Warming up 1. Show some pictures of four seasons and ask the students to tell which season it is.
2. Ask them to say what they do in spring/summer/autumn/winter.
Step 2 Grammar 现在进行时 现在进行时表示正在进行或发生的动作。其谓语结构是“be(am/is/are)+动词-ing形式”。 1. 现在进行时的几种句式 肯定句:主语+be (am/is/are) +动词-ing. 否定句:主语+be (am/is/are) not+动词-ing. 一般疑问句:Be (Am/Is/Are) +主语+动词-ing? 特殊疑问句:疑问词+ be (am/is/are) +动词-ing? 2.动词-ing形式的构成
3.现在进行时的时间状语 常与now, these days, this week, at the moment等时间状语连用。有时句首有“Look!”“Listen!”等提示语。 He is reading a book now.现在他正在读一本书。 My father isn’t watching TV at the moment. 此刻我的爸爸没在看电视。
Step 3 Look and say Show some pictures and ask the students to say what the people in the pictures are doing. Give them some words and expressions to help them.

Step 4 Look and read 1. Play the recording of the dialogue. Let the students listen to it. 2. Play the recording again. Pause by sentence so the students follow in their books. 3. Let the students practice the dialogue in pairs. Select pairs to read the dialogue.
Step 5 Look, ask and answer 1. Tell the students to look at the pictures of Rose Garden Estate in different seasons.
2. Ask the questions about the first picture like this: T: What season is it in the first picture? S1: It’s summer. T: Why? S2: It’s summer because people are swimming in the swimming pool. 3. Let the students practice in pairs.
Step 6 Write 1. Ask the students to draw pictures or take photographs of his/her neighbourhood in different seasons. Then write about them. 2. Give them an example:

Step 7 Language points 1. It’s winter because people are wearing warm clothes and gloves. 它是冬季,因为人们正穿着暖和的衣服并戴着手套。 (1)because〔连词〕因为;由于 because引导的原因状语从句可以放在主句前或主句后,because(因为)与so(所以)不能同时用于一个句子中。 We like the city because it’s clean. 我们喜欢这座城市,因为它很整洁。 The city is clean, so we like it.这座城市很整洁,因此我们喜欢它。 【注意】because常用来回答用why提出的问句。 —Why do you like your teacher?你为什么喜欢你的老师? —Because she’s kind.因为她很善良。 (2)glove〔名词〕(分手指的)手套 通常用复数形式。 a pair of gloves一副手套 Are these gloves yours?这些手套是你的吗? 2. birds are making nests in the trees鸟正在树上筑巢 (1)make nests筑巢 nest〔名词〕鸟巢;鸟窝 Look! The two birds are making nests.看!那两只鸟儿正在筑巢呢。 (2)辨析:in the tree与on the tree
