T: First, let’s talk about your neighbourhood like this:

T: Give you 1 minute to prepare it. Then I’ll ask several groups to do pair work.

Put the dialogue into three parts. And ask students to ask and answer. Then make the dialogue.

T: There are two pictures. One is about the suburbs, the other one is about the city centre. Now discuss the following questions with your classmates.

a)        What do people usually do in the city centre?

b)  What do people usually do in the suburbs?

Talk about my neighbourhood

Discuss the questions in pairs.

T: listen to the dialogue and then do the following:

a)        Read after the recording.

b)        Do some soft-reading

c)        Read in groups/ pairs

T: Here are some Kitty’s photographs which show her life in the new neighbourhood. Say what they do now and think about what they did when the lived in the city centre. I make an example for Picture one.

T: Now you can do pair work by yourselves according to the following dialogue model.
