Work on 1a.

1. Call Ss’ attention to 1a. Read the instruction to them.

What kind of music do you like? Look at the picture and circle the sentences you agree with. Then write your own sentence.

2. Ask Ss to look at the picture and read the sentences.

3. Ss circle the sentences they agree with and write their own sentences.

I like music that ___________.

4. Call some Ss to read their sentences.

5. Ss look at some pictures and practice the sentences, remind them to pay attention to  Attributive Clauses with that/which.

通过观察图片理解句子，引导学生朗读，反复练习该句型，同时熟练单词prefer、along with、dance to 等单词、短语。出示句型后，可以采用问答方式练习：

1. Play the tape of 1b for Ss to listen and check(√) the kinds of music Tony and Betty like.

2. Listen again and answer the questions.

3. Check answers and read the sentences.

Work on 1c.

1. Ask Ss to work in pairs to make conversations about the music that theylike.

2. Ss talk about the music, movies or books  that they like.

3.Ask several pairs to present in class.

利用对话练习吸引学生的兴趣， 同时表达自己的喜好。

1. Work on 2a.

Ask Ss to read the sentences in 2a.

Play the tape for the first time for Ss to listen and circle T for true or F for false.

Check answers in class.

2. Work on 2b.

Play the tape for the second time for Ss to listen again and then omplete the sentences.

If necessary, make Ss listen once more to check their answers.Remind them to pay attention to the sentences they write.

3. Work on 2c.

Ss work in pairs to make conversations using the information in 2a and 2b.

  A: Does Carmen like musicians who play different kinds of music?

  B: Yes, he does.

Call some pairs to present in class.
