一、设计思路
1、指导思想。
新课程倡导“以人为本”,体现以学生为主体的的教育教学思想,遵循学生身心发展的规律。本课主要按照学生的认知发展水平和能力,以由易到难、由整体到部分的思路安排教学内容。在课堂上,“架起课堂与实际生活的桥梁”,先设置情境导入,激发学生的学习兴趣,让学生感知本课话题。再设计四个阅读任务,鼓励学生大胆完成突出学生为主体的教学活动,最终达到学生能运用简单的阅读策略获取信息达到完成阅读任务的目的。
2、教学目标:
知识目标
(1)学习新词和词组
shark, fin, cruel, harmful, chain, ecosystem, industry, law, scientific,be harmful to,at the top of, the food chain
(2)复习单词和词组
ocean, endangered, hear of, cut off, no longer, bring danger to, the number of
能力目标:
(1) 能读懂有关濒危动物的短文。
(2) 能够通过阅读概括段落大意并回答相关问题。
(3) 能理解短文,根据短文内容运用so,although,if,but和when填空。
情感目标:
通过学习“猎鳍”导致鲨鱼濒临灭绝的文章,认识到动物濒临灭绝的现象,激发学生保护动物并爱护大自然的意识。
教学重点:
学生能读懂关于拯救鲨鱼的短文。
教学难点:
学生能通过阅读完成概括段落大意和回答问题的任务。
教学方法:
情景教学法、任务型教学法

参考鼎尖教案和教育教学用书,制作与课时相关的教学PPT并网上下载本课相关录音材料。
三 教学过程:
Step 1 Greeting
Greet the students.
Step 2 Warming-up
Show two pictures about sharks and have a talk .
- Show picture 1 about a shark and ask questions.
(1). What’s it?
(2). Where does it live?
(学习新词shark,fin,复习ocean)
- Show picture 2 about “finning ”and ask questions.
(1). What are people doing?
(2). Why do they do this?
(3). Do you think it is cruel ?
(4). What will happen if the sharks lose their fins?
(学习新词cruel,harmful和词组be harmful to,复习hear of,cut off,no longer)
Step 3 Leading-in .
Thinking about what we can do to help save the sharks and then write down the title save the sharks .
Step 4 Presentation .
1. Listen to the tape, pay attention to the first and the last sentences of each paragraph, and then match the main ideas.
Paragragh 1 Sharks are endangered.
Paragragh 2 Call on people to against eating shark fin soup.
Paragragh 3 Talk about shark fin soup.
(让学生通过跳读的方式,分析文章每段的首句和尾句来概括段落大意。)
- Reading carefully and answer questions.
(1) Read the first paragraph and answer the following questions.
① What is the famous and expensive dish in southern China?
② What can you realize when you enjoy a bowl of shark fin soup?
③(First ask one student to read paragraph 1 aloud and the other students read silently, and then check the answers one by one)
(2) Read the second paragraph and answer the following questions.
① What do people do when they catch sharks?
② What will happen if their numbers drop too low?
③ Why do many believe that sharks can never be endangered?
(First ask two groups to read half of the paragraph 1 aloud and the other two groups read the rest of this paragraph, and then check the answers one by one)
(3) Read the third paragraph and answer the following questions.
① What are the two environmental groups against “finning”?
② What have the two groups done to help save the sharks?
(First ask the whole class to read paragraph 3 aloud , and then check the answers one by one)
- Read the passage together and complete the fact sheet in 3a.

- Read the passage silently and then fill in the blanks in 3b.
Pay attention to five words in the box and read the sentences in 3b. Then read the passage silently and fill in the blanks with the words.

本节课教学内容为九年级英语全一册人教版Unit 13 We’re trying to save the earth! Section A 3a-3b部分,课型为阅读课。阅读短文Save the Sharks!通过描述人们捕捉鲸鱼获取鱼鳍,导致鲨鱼数量骤减而濒临灭绝,呼吁人民保护鲨鱼。在Warming up部分,通过观看图片,进行简单问答。虽然因粗心而忽略了新单词harm和短语be harmful to的引入,但是基本完成了有关鲨鱼知识的铺垫,这个读前的设计激发学生的学习兴趣,同时帮助学生更容易理解短文。阅读中,我根据短文内容,设计了四个由易到难的阅读任务来训练学生的阅读能力。阅读任务一通过要求学生听录音并关注每段首尾句的形式,帮助学生快速配对三段的段落大意,并对文章初步了解。阅读任务二分段读并回答问题和阅读任务三根据短文内容填表,考察了学生对文章细节的理解和筛选文章信息的能力。阅读任务四要求学生选择正确的连词补充句子,引导学生关注了连词的使用。读后任务设计根据文章内容填空,因时间有限,布置为课后作业。遗憾的是,在课堂小结部分,谈谈这节课的收获时,学生发言不积极,但是学生通过本课学习已有保护动物爱护动物的意识。总之,阅读课的重心在于读并通过读完成阅读任务,因此,本课预设目标基本完成。
