--- I’m taking photos. 我正在拍照。
what 是疑问词,意为“什么”
take photos 意为“拍照”
问句:What are you doing?
此问句是现在进行时的特殊疑问句,其中doing 是由do 加上-ing 构成的动词-ing 形式。
答句:I’m / We’re +动词-ing 形式+其他.
e.g. ---What are you doing? 你正在做什么呢?
--- I’m cooking. 我正在做饭。
--- What are they doing? 他们正在做什么?
--- They are flying kites. 他们正在放风筝。

美国学生参加的课外活动
第一,学术性的课外活动。这些活动往往是为了满足学生在某一领域学习的深度,在课外能够在这一领域学习到更全面的知识或达到更高的层次。最被美国认可的高中学术性课外活动有两个。a、奥林匹克科学活动,侧重科学的美国高中都设有奥林匹克队。b、美国高中十项全能冠军队。十项知识竞赛包括艺术,音乐,数学,经济学,语言和文学,科学,超级测验,写作,讲演,面试。
第二,社会活动类。美国非常重视学生的社会贡献意识,学校会鼓励学生参加一些学校和社区服务,参加一些社会义务活动。被美国认可的义务组织是红十字会,和两三个国际级的慈善会,比如雄师子会。很多高中生会花很多时间到医院,教堂,公共场所参加义务劳动。
第三,社团类。社团主要是锻炼学生的领导力,组织能力,工作能力,沟通能力等,有助于加强学生的人际交往能力和社会适应力。这类社团包括学生会,办公室助手,辩论等。
第四,兴趣类。学生可根据自己的兴趣爱好选择自己喜欢的艺术活动或者是运动项目,如绘画,乐器,乐队,合唱,啦啦队,网球队,越野活动、橄榄球、棒球及垒球、篮球、排球、网球、足球等。
第五,工作类。许多美国学生很早就开始勤工俭学,如剪草坪、送报纸、做临时保姆等。而美国家长对此也是大加鼓励和支持的,这不仅能让学生有了一定的零花钱,更重要的是让孩子学会自食其力。
