What was yur life like in the past? My family lived in a tiny huse. There were n electric lights, nly candles. My father was a pstman, and he ften wrked twelve hurs a day utside in the winter cld r in the summer heat. My mum was a farm girl befre she met my father. She was a kind and lving mther. She didn’t g ut t wrk. There were five children in my family, and lking after us was mre than a full-time jb. I remember the family meals. The fd was simple. We culd nly
eat meat nce r twice a year. I wasn’t sent t schl because my family culdn’t affrd it, and what’s mre, because I was a girl.Hw has life changed? Families have gt smaller than they were in the past. Tday mst peple nly have ne child! The rle f wmen has changed t. My daughter is really lucky. She has a gd educatin, and she ges t wrk even after getting married. I’m happy t see she’s busy wrking every day, but smetimes I feel lnely because she can’t cme t see me ften.

②. 表示“与……结婚”时, 用be/get married t sb. 或 marry sb. 。
