Mst peple arund the wrld are right-handed. In 1977, scientists studied wrks f art made at varius times in histry. Mst f the peple shwn in these wrks f art are right-handed, s scientists suggest that right-handedness has always been cmmn. But what d Lenard da Vinci, Marie Curie, and Albert Einstein have in cmmn? They were all left-handed, alng with ther famus peple including Brad Pitt, Prince William, and Barack Obama. In fact, an estimated 13 percent f the wrld's ppulatin may be left-handed。
Cntrary t the widely- accepted belief that mst peple are right-handed,13% f the ppulatin wrldwide are left-handed。
Smething happens t many children when they are ut f schl ver the summer mnths. It is called the “summer slide”. This may sund like a ride at a water park, but it's nt. Summer slide is a phenmenn in educatin in which children frget much f what they learned during the latest schl year。
Summer slide is a learning phenmenn in which children frget much f the knwledge they learned last term。
In rder t practice building a mind palace, yu need t picture a place yu are familiar with, such as yur living rm. Then, yu have t remember this place in as much detail as pssible as this is yur wn mind palace. Suppse yu want t remember a shpping list. Yu can start by spreading ut all the items arund yur living rm in yur mind. This means each item n yur list is cnnected with a remembered place in yur living rm. Finally, yu travel t that remembered place as yu recall the list.
2、找到各个步骤之间的过渡词,即表示过程或顺序的单词或短语(first,firstly,then,next,befre, after,when... as sn as,after this,at this pint...)
T practice building a mind palace yu culd first picture a familiar place ,then remember it in detail and finally build cnnectins between this place and smething yu want t remember.
The disadvantages f rte learning are that students may immediately frget the facts they have learned after the text, and may nt fully understand the cncepts t begin with. Fr instance, if a student is studying a piece f literature and knws he needs t memrize the characters' names, the setting and ther basic facts fr a test, he will prbably nt have a very deep understanding f the actual meaning f the wrk. He will then likely frget all the ther facts shrtly anyway.
Rte learning may lead t students frgetting the newly-learned facts quickly and nt fully understanding the cncepts.
What is causing the water crisis ? Accrding t scientists, glbal climate change threatens t reduce water supplies due t decreased rainfall. Fr anther, ppulatin grwth is driving explsive demand fr water, prmpting rivers in thirsty cuntries t be checked fr nearly every drp and driving gvernments t pump ut s-called fssil water.
由于表示该类逻辑的各个句子关系密切,因果相连,缺一不可,因此可以从段落开头的句子入手,看是先写出了结果,还是先叙述了原因,然后再根据句意找到其因果逻辑,最后再用表示因果关系的常用单词和短语连起来(如:because 、since、 therefre 、s、 thus 、cnsequently... lead t 、result in、 due t、 wing t、 cntribute t、 attribute... t、 as a result...)
Climate change and rapid ppulatin grwth mainly cntribute t water crisis.
What' s the answer t the wrld water crisis ? One partial answer t it, at least fr cuntries near the sea, is t build mre desalinatin plants that change seawater int fresh water. Anther suggested slutin is fr water-rich cuntries, such as Canada, t sell water t cuntries which are pr in water. A third suggestin is fr cuntries t adpt ways f increasing the fresh water supply, such as teaching farmers in Africa methds t get clean rainwater. And nearly everyne agrees that the amunt f water n ur planet can't be changed, but the way we use it can be if mre peple realize that there is a prblem. Last and the mst imprtant, the public shuld becme aware f hw t save water t defeat the water crisis.
The water crisis culd be slved in different ways,f which prmting the public's awareness f saving water is a tp pririty。
