Ⅰ.Teaching Aims.
1.To review and make the students understand the words and phrases in the first three units.
2. To read and master the sentences: Where are you going? What are you going to do there? How can you get there? Where is the …?
3. Be able to say and use the sentences we have learned in the three units to talk about the position of someplace.
4. To build the students’ sense of safety, and make them know more about the traffic rules.
Ⅱ.Teaching Key and Difficult Points.
1. To review the new words we have learned in the three units.
2.To review the key sentences in the first three units.
3. How to use the words and sentences in our daily life.

A tape recorder and the PPT.

StepⅠ. Warm-up
- Greetings.
- Free talk about the weather.
StepⅡ. Review
Ask the students: “ What are you going to do this weekend?”
Use the pictures to lead the students say the sentence: “ I am going to … in …”
Step Ⅲ. Presentation
1. Guess our friend Robin: What is Robin going to do?
2. Open our book to find out the answer: Robin is going to sing a song to a little boy. The boy is looking for his mother.
3. Listen to the song and answer the question: In this song, what is Papa going to do?
4. Choose some students to answer the questions.
5. Listen and sing the song together.
Pay attention to the last word of each sentence, and sum up the rhyme words: word &bird, sing & ring, class & glass, down & town.
Encourage the students to make a poem like this.
6. Exercise. Finish the two questions about the song.
Step Ⅳ. Read and write
1. Robin brings the little boy to the police station and they call his mother. Look at the map on book and fill in the blanks.
2. Check the answers and ask question: How can the boy’s mother go to the police station?
3. Show out a map on the screen, it’s a crossing.
Point and speak out the places and use the map to describe the way to the police station.
StepⅤ. Extension
1. Circle the words for transportation. Then make the students say out some different ways of transportation on the screen.
2. Ask the students what am I going to do this weekend.
3. Show the picture of the place I will go and ask them the question: “How can I get there?”
4. Give them clues and say the ways together.
Step Ⅵ. Group work
Four students a group to discuss about the places they are going to this weekend.
Then make dialogues like this: “Where are you going?/ What are you going to do there? / How can you get there?”
Step Ⅶ. Emotional teaching.
We should plan our trip well. Think more before action. Walking is a good exercise.
Ⅵ.Homework
1. Listen and read the text following the tape.
2. Design your holiday trip and tell us the transportation you use.

Ⅷ. Teaching Reflection.
本节课是我整合的一节阅读形式的复习课。内容是有关PEP人教版六年级上册前三个单元的复习。由于一二两个单元内容具有一定的关联性。一个是教学一些标志性建筑地点的英语表达,询问怎样到那去,是左转还是直走。另一个是教学去某地的交通方式,是乘坐公交车还是火车,还是飞机。而这两个单元的内容是融会贯通的,也是学生日常生活中经常能遇见的,所以在教学中要让学生们身临其境,更容易理解和掌握。第三单元虽然语法上教学了be going to 所表达的将来时,在时态上有一定的难度,但是恰好可以让学生们描述一些周末或是假期计划。再结合前两单元所学的出行方式和问路的表达,自然的就结合在一起。
在教学中,我通过预设一个小男孩找妈妈的情景,来通过歌曲复习be going to 句型,再通过指出去警察局的路,来复习第一单元学习的一些地点的表达和turn left/right, go straight等短语。接着引导孩子看地图更加形象具体的了解一些路线以及熟知的交通规则。最后,通过我的周末计划,带着孩子复习更多的交通工具,以及第二单元的重点句型:How can I get there.
整节课,学生都积极思考,举手发言。通过唱歌,谈论,最后小组对话组织教学。在歌谣教授环节,我特别注意了每句诗歌的结尾单词,就好像我们中文诗歌中的韵脚一样,这里在英语中叫做rhyme.引导孩子在将来自己有兴趣创作下英语诗歌。
一节课的时间刚刚好,对基础较好的学生而言,这节课他们运用到了这两个月学习的所有知识,对于基础较弱的学生而言,这节课就是温故而知新,及时整理复习。慢慢摸索,力求让自己的课堂更高效!
