Step1: Predict the invitation & skimming, Read the invitation quickly. Try to find out the main idea of this invitation. Discuss in your group for catching some information about who, when, when and so on. Step2: Careful reading. ( Students read the invitation carefully and find the answers from the book given.) let’s read the invitation carefully and answer the questions from the book given. Discuss with your partner for confirming your answers. Please tell us where you can find the answers. ( Ask some of students to answer the questions, and check the answers together. ) Step 3: Learn the structure of an invitation.

Step 1: Work on 3b: 1. Choose a party or any other event you want. Write an invitation to your friends or others to come to your party or event. 2. Let some Ss read the information in the chart. 3. Give Ss some sentences to refer. Ss try to think about their parities or events. Write an invitation using the information in the chart. 4. Read their invitations and check if there are mistakes. 5. Exchange your invitations with a group. Then write a reply to his or her invitation. If you can’t come to his/her invitation, you should write some proper reasons. 6. Ss try to write down their invitations. 7. Let some Ss read their passages to the class. Step 2: Show a sample to students.
