Fr many years there's been a debate abut rewarding children. Des it wrk?Sme peple think parents shuld establish a standard with kids and give them smething fr meeting this standard as a reward. Punishment is given ut in much the same way, but it's used when certain standards f perfrmance r behavir have nt been met. Kids will ften becme mre dutiful when threatened with punishment, and wrk harder when prmised a valuable reward. The prblem is what happens when parents aren't arund.
Main idea: Parents usually give reward r punishment r meeting r nt nt meeting a standard. But it desn't always wrk.
T develp respnsible, self-disciplined (自律的) kids, parents need t prmte certain ideas. One f these ideas is that everyne engages and helps in the family, even if smene is nt crazy abut helping. Anther idea is that there can be enjyment in ding any task. When a task is fr a wrthy cause (ur family can enjy the huse mre because I helped clean it), and when parents are cheerful abut their kids' chres, this message can have a big impact. This is hw parents help kids develp a sense f respnsibility. When children develp this respnsibility, they'll be mre disciplined, and they'll cntrl their emtins better. When parents give rewards t kids, they reduce the sense f respnsibility. They als create children wh may temprarily perfrm t a certain standard, but wh aren't likely t cntinue the perfrmance withut the carrt hanging in frnt f them.
Main idea: Parents shuld develp respnsibility amng their children. They shuld try t make their kids see that certain kinds f behavir damage the family while ther kinds f behavir make family life satisfying and enjyable.
“Rewards and punishment can change behavir fr a while, but they cannt change the persn wh engages in the behavir, at least in the way we want,” said Alfie Khn, authr f Punished by Rewards. “Gd values have t be grwn frm the inside ut.” Parents can help give their children a sense f shared respnsibility and discipline which can last a lifetime. The real rewards that children receive will be their readiness fr the cmplex and demanding wrld that waits fr them – a wrld that rewards thse wh have learned the secrets f discipline and respnsibility.《以惩罚作为奖励》一书的作者阿尔菲·科恩说:“奖励和惩罚可以在一段时间内改变行为,但它们不能改变参与行为的人,至少没有变成我们想要的方式。”。“良好的价值观必须从内而外培养。”父母可以帮助为他们的孩子树立一种共同的责任感和纪律,这种责任感和纪律可以持续一生。孩子们得到的真正回报将是他们为等待他们的复杂而苛刻的世界做好准备——一个奖励那些已经学会纪律和责任秘密的人的世界。
Main idea: Gd values will be grwn if their children develp a sense f respnsibility and discipline.

Please a summary fr the passage in less than 60 wrds.
Rewards and punishments cannt make kids behave in the desired way. Instead, parents shuld prmte the idea f respnsibility amng their children. They shuld try t make their kids see that certain kinds f behavir damage the family while ther kinds f behavir make family life satisfying and enjyable. Only in this way can gd values be grwn, values that will help kids becme respnsible adults.
