    (1)    Key points: A. To ask Wh- questions to find out specific information.

              B. To use the present perfect tense to relate past events to the present.

    (2)    Difficult points: To tell students some names of different countries that they want to know.

    1. show a word game to students to review the name of each country.
    2. Give students the table of different foreigner in Shanghai. Let students make a dialogue about the country and their population in Shanghai.
    3. Let students look at the pictures and learn two new phrases.

     Show them:

    Visit---visited--visited

    Readread---read

    Read about

    1. Ask students two questions: Which city have you visited? Which city have you read about them?

    Look at the flags and speak out and it and spell it. then put them into the right blank.

     

    Students practice the dialogue like this:

    S1: What do we call people from______

    S2: We call them_____.

    S1: How many ______live in Shanghai?

    S2: About______.

    Read the new phrases.

     

     

     

     

    Students answer in these way:

    I’ve visited…

    I’ve read about…

    To help students go over the name of the country.
