教材分析
Students can learn and memorize alphabet names through pictures, listening and imitation, perceive the meaning and pronunciation of new words and sentences, and find out the letters in the words. The main topic is self-introduction, so improving the students’ abilities of listening and speaking on self-introductions is very important.

课前准备
Tape recorder, Multimedia.
教学过程
Step 1. Warm-up Listen, look and say
1. 听录音,引入新内容。
2. giraffe, dog, tall, short.
3. 认识新单词,准确发音。
Step 2. Presentation Work in pairs
1. 两人一组,对话练习。
2. 老师讲解内容,分析句型,纠正读音。
Let’s play!
Who is tall?
The giraffe is tall.
Who is short?
The dog is short.
3.听录音,学生跟唱。邀请唱歌好听的同学上台表演。
Let’s sing!
The giraffe is tall.

Step 3. Listening and vocabulary
- Play the recording in activity 1 and ask the students to listen and check how many people speak.
- Play it again and ask the students to check the words they hear.
- Check the answers with the whole students.
Step 4. Homework
1. Copy the new words five times.
2. 唱歌给家长听。
